Cozy Retreat Near Crooked Lake with Gym, Games & Deck Views

A perfect private, comfy, and newly renovated house for your next getaway. Located in a safe and convenient area, close to Crooked Lake (1 block away), Webber International University (1 mile), and Legoland.

The house boasts a large fully-equipped kitchen upstairs, complete with all the essentials, and a Separate kitchenette downstairs.

Get a restful sleep on the incredibly comfortable beds. Relax under the stars on the patio or upstairs deck! We have a separate office with a Ms. Pac-Man video game, large TV's, a huge open living area, and an eating space. Downstairs is a separate area to sleep and play. There is also a workout garage with games!

This is honestly ideal for anyone. Are there only two of you traveling? You both get your own mini-home! Do you have a group of 12?! There are enough beds to accommodate and places to relax inside and out.

You can walk down the private road to a small area where you could sit by the lake or even put in a kayak or fish. We are still working on getting those things on the property for you to use. We have some older bikes you can use as you like as well.

It is a great place for anyone that needs to get away for a trip, retreat, work, or any reason. We look forward to hosting you!

Brian was always available. We had an air conditioning issue and he took care of us. The house is huge, well furnished and comfortable. We took a few walks down to the lake and enjoyed time out on the upper porch. We spent a lot of time away visiting family and went to the air show at Vero Beach that weekend. However, it was a home away from home. It felt good to come back to “our own” place. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Brian for being such an awesome host!

The property was very accommodating to our needs. The bedrooms are clean and so is the kitchen with all necessary items in order to prepare our meals both days we were there. The exterior could use some TLC , but overall very pleased . Most importantly very close to the university, which we loved. Thanks Brian for the very effective communication .

Not as advertised. Photos showed a much cleaner property. The entry had several mud dauber (wasp) neats, the carpet and couch downstairs has visible ground in dirt or stains, after removing pillow cases we saw that the pillows were stained yellow, the outdoor patio furniture on the deck was dirty, the yard was a mess and the driveway was cracked causing a trip hazard getting in and out of our car. We were not comfortable walking around barefoot or sitting on the outdoor furniture. The downstairs bathroom had no exhaust fan or electrical outlet. The property had a for sale sign posted out front and it seemed as though we were in someone’s current living space. The day before check out, the host asked for a five star review and said we would get “bonus points” if we put the linens in the washing machine and started it to help the cleaning crew not have to spend so much time there (we stripped the bed and left linens on the washing machine). The host communicated well and accessing the property was easy, but overall we were disappointed with our stay. We have photos to back this review.

Great hosts, nice house in quiet area near lakes

Spacious and well equipped accommodation with nice garden, in small town near several lakes (nice for hiking, fishing etc). Garden needs a little care, and the house is quite noisy. Nearby Lake Wales has some great places to eat and lake Kissemmee as well as Polk's nature discovery centre are well worth the visit.

Family get together

We had a few issues, but our host Brian was wonderful to work with. He was very attentive and responded to our issues quickly. The little beach area at the end of the alley was fabulous. It was a wonderful place to watch the sunset!

Awesome House in Babson Park

We had a great time at this lovely home. It's large enough for a big group, plenty of places to sleep everyone comfortably and very, very clean. The lake is a short walk down a quiet street and has a small beach! The owners even have chairs available to take down with you. Communication was outstanding! The neighborhood is safe and the owners are very kind. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend if you are in town. :)

Needing a place to have family come together before an oldest child/grandchild started his before wedding his bride. Everything seemed rushed and harried, BUT this place is what it says it is,.The children (including the 45 year old one) loved the PacMan game!The bed my husband and I had was exactly the comfort level that had me asleep without any effort to do so.Thank You!E

Babson park

Our stay at this property was not as expected. There was sand in the sheets and a cockroach greeted us in the entry way upon arrival .The couch was held up by paint cans and very uncomfortable. The pictures online need to be updated to show these imperfections. This property is in a great place and had some great potential with some tlc.

Dustin, so sorry our cleaners missed the mark with the sheets. We have pest service but in the summer you may see a bug as this is Florida. The leg was busted and we had to keep it up for a bit like that. We own it and getting new couches. Thanks for your honesty. The home is great and sorry it was not that way for you.

Home Away From Home

This home could definitely become our " Home Away from Home". We chose this area to visit with our son and family who just purchased a house in Lake Wales. This roomy, well appointed home was perfect for visiting with family. Our host Brian was always available for communication but everything was perfect at the house and we needed nothing. There are many places to visit in the area and we will return. The only reason I gave location 4 star instead of 5 is the proximity of the state road which can be a little noisy when sitting outside. Other than that this home is 5 star all the way.

Great cottage, well equipped.

This house is right off of a main road with easy access. The fenced in yard was perfect for our friends to let their dog stretch her legs. We made sure to pick up after her in the yard and it's clear that other owners have done the same if they've had pets there. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed for a big pasta dinner. The beds are comfortable, dated a little but still fine for a good nights sleep. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were perfect for our group of 4. Communication with the property manager Brian, was outstanding. Crystal, the cleaning person was hardworking and professional. The neighbors were also extremely nice. Would stay again if we return to the area!

I enjoy hosting guests in Babson Park and feel it is a hidden gem. I love my family, boating, at least one of our two dogs (depending on the day), and serving others.

Why they chose this property

If you are looking for a small home away from home this absolutely crushes a hotel stay in Lake Wales or similar. It is private and freshly remodeled. Although there may be guests in the two-bedroom unit on the second floor there is no real shared space and you can relax and enjoy!
