About this property
Waynesville Horse Farm Converted Hay Loft - Horses Below!
Look at your “Neigh-bors” in their stalls below - from inside The Loft!
The Loft at Chestnut Valley sits atop a working horse barn at a beautiful equestrian facility in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
We are a small boarding and lesson facility. Our stable has nine stalls, two riding arenas and grass pastures. Usual farm operations will be happening right under your feet!
The Loft has been converted from hay storage to a unique and spectacular guest space. The bedroom can be closed off from the kitchen and living area by tall curtains.
The Loft is equipped with a Smart TV, DVD player and WiFi. A few windows offer views into horse stalls and the barn aisle below!
Kitchen amenities include a refrigerator, toaster oven, two-burner hot plate, coffee pot, and typical cookware, utensils, etc.
The leather sofa and rocking chair make the living area comfortable and clean.
We use 100% cotton bedding on our queen size, cozy bed.
We provide trifold memory foam sleepers for groups over two. We have sleeping bags that kids love.
*Nope - it doesn’t smell. We’ve had a lot of people asking!
*Our barn cat thinks he’s the real host. Some guests let him in the loft to visit. Please be aware if you have allergies!
Horsemanship/riding lessons tailored to experience and interest are available on site. Please inquire about scheduling as soon as possible after booking.

We had a great stay here! The loft was so cute, nicely decorated, clean, and had everything we needed. The horses were so sweet and we loved saying hello to them every day! This is the most unique rental we’ve ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend!
This stay was perfect!! It was peaceful and we had everything we needed. Our hosts and neighhhhbors were wonderful. It was great to have real half and half in the fridge for our coffee…. Perfect touch! We drove parts of the Blueridge Parkway which was so relaxing We will definitely go back!!!
We had an excellent experience! From questions and communication leading up to our stay, the wonderful loft and excellent house guest everything was perfect! Was surprised at how large the loft was, especially the shower. The photos dont do it justice!! Super well kept and super friendly host, that was quick to answer questions but not at all intrusive. We stayed here while skiing in Maggie Valley and it was close enough (20 minute drive) to be convenient but far away enough to provide the break we needed.Conveniently located close to I-40, but still in the country. Found a great restaurant nearby you got to try (209 Haywood)! Already planning a return trip!
Beautiful property with great views of the Great Smoky Mountains! It was cool to interact with the horses and watch Roxanne and Jeremy tend to the needs of the farm. We plan on staying again!
It was a great get away. The place is well decorated and you are greeted by a horse as soon as you pull in. My kids loved waking up to see the horses and looking out the window at the horses before going to sleep. We even watched them play in the pasture. The owners were great!
We had a great experience and enjoyed the beauty of the area, the fall leaves were fantastic. The area has alot of farms with cows grazing on the side of the mountains. We got a kick out of that. Enjoyed seeing the horses and other pets at this property. The Owner is very nice and helpful.
We needed a place to stay for a family reunion and i am sad to say we didn't plan to stay longer at this hidden gem. The property owner was very responsive to questions as we were arriving late. Everything you need for your stay is provided. The best part of our stay was how excited the kids were to see the horses and learn about them in the materials provided. Will stay again!
This is by far my ultimate favorite vacation rental I have ever booked!
Just the idea alone is amazing.
The host is so great a communication and so friendly.
The place is spotless and has everything you need. We felt right at home
Ever day we would visit the horses at least 3 times.
Just so relaxing and even more..you have to have respect for the owners you will see all the hard work it takes to run what they do. If you have anxiety like myself you will just love it.
Must do and we will be back.
