Bristlecone Yurt at Aspen Ridge Cabins is perfect for a couple or two people who don't mind sharing a queen bed. This brand new, hard-sided yurt (built summer of 2022) includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, bathroom, and queen-sized bed. Enjoy your favorite shows and movies on a 32" smart TV (streaming TV service provided).

This yurt is located on a property with 6 other cabins and 1 other yurt. The property is a short (3-5 minute) walk to public access to the Rio Grande River. A communal outdoor dining area with picnic tables and grills is available for guest use.

Our first stay in a yurt!

We loved staying in the Bristlecone Yurt at Aspen Ridge Cabins! Jeremy was very friendly and a great host. The accommodations were perfect for our 3 day stay in South Fork. We will definitely stay here again.

Must stay!!!!

This place was great!!! It’s centrally located as far as just a short drive to most sight seeing places. Very cozy. Had never stayed in a yurt before, great first experience. Bed was super comfortable. Had everything you need for a couple days stay. We made breakfast and dinner in and watched TV to relax in the evenings. We brought a puppy and was a great area to be able to take him out for potty breaks and walks. Hosts were on sight so if you need anything they responded quickly but not in your business that you felt like you were being watched. Thank you for the great stay!!!!

The new owners are outdoor enthusiasts who met while both living in Colorado when Jeremy was a raft guide on the Arkansas River and Katy was and nursing school. Jeremy and Katy are excited to offer you a warm, welcoming stay and the very best views, fishing, and hiking in Southern Colorado.

Why they chose this property

The yurts are all modern with full kitchens, bathrooms, smart TVs, and fiber optic wi-fi. All linens, pots, and pans are furnished.

What makes this property unique

When the day is done and you're ready to put your feet up and rest awhile, we offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy an evening outdoors. We feature an outdoor area that allows for get-togethers and picnics, as well as open fires that capture the wild spirit and beauty of the outdoors.

Hunters and anglers have a walk in freezer/cooler for their harvests. There's an ice machine on site as well for coolers, and trips off site. Enjoy a walk to town on paved sidewalks, or kick back at the lodge and cook steaks on the grill, enjoy satellite TV, fiber optic internet, or choose from our selection of games and books.
