Why they chose this property
Within a half-mile of the farmhouse, you’ll find yourself tucked into one of the most peaceful corners of Friendship - quiet, safe, and surrounded by tall trees, birdsong, and salty breezes from the harbor just down the hill. The road itself is mostly locals and seasonal families, so it’s calm and friendly with hardly any through traffic. Wallace’s Market is right around the bend (you’ll be shocked by what you can find in there), and you’ll likely pass a few neighbors walking their dogs or kids biking to the buoy-covered docks near Martin Point. It’s not flashy, but it’s real Maine - quiet, coastal, and the kind of place where people still leave their doors unlocked.
What makes this property unique
“The home and all the amenities transported us into a magical experience... like we were living in a Pride & Prejudice movie.”
What’s Friendship, ME all about?
Friendship, Maine is one of those quietly beautiful places that doesn’t try to impress you—it just *is*. It’s a working harbor town with lobster boats bobbing in the water, a general store that somehow has everything, and the kind of locals who wave as they pass. There’s no big tourist scene here, which is honestly the charm—you get a real feel for coastal Maine life. Kids love watching the boats or searching for treasures along the rocky shoreline, and you’re just a short, scenic drive to Camden or Rockland if you want a bit more buzz. It’s peaceful, authentic, and easy to fall in love with.
