Splendid westerly views and gorgeous sunsets to be enjoyed by family and friends from this tasteful Cape's spacious deck, living and dining rooms, sunroom, and kitchen. Enjoy the wonderful ambiance of this easy-living floor plan with a first-floor bedroom, bath, laundry area, living room with fireplace and built-ins, a large dining area with a wide window seat, and a dining table with room for 10 people. Upstairs are two more bedrooms ( three twins and one queen) and a bathroom with a shower (no tub). The property has incredible perennial gardens with a path that leads down to the waterfront. At the waterfront is an Island owned by the Damariscotta River Association, which can be walked during low tide. The island is a great place to swim during high tide. We have three kayaks that are free to use during your stay, but please be aware that there is a steep path down to the river, we don't have a dock, and there is usually only a four-hour tidal window during which you can kayak. You must sign the waiver forms displayed in the garage to use these kayaks. The property is ideally positioned to explore the coast of Maine via the river, visit Pemaquid lighthouse just a few miles down the road, spend time in the picturesque town of Damariscotta (1.6 miles), or explore further afield by visiting Boothbay Harbor (25-minute drive), Bath (20-minute drive) or Camden (40-minute drive). Damariscotta was recently voted the #1 spot to visit in Country Living's article "40 American Towns You Haven't Heard of but Should Visit ASAP". This property is set back from a busy road 129/130, and when the windows are open, you can hear the traffic - you don't notice it after some time - so complete silence is not something you will get at this property. All of our appliances are new. The house has HVAC ACs in all rooms and is well equipped to handle the heat when it gets hot. This property is back on the market with a new deck, a change of sidings, and renovations to the inside of the house. We no longer have anyone living in the independent basement flat. This flat remains empty while we rent our property to guest.
