Family weekend

This location offered plenty of room for our family. We used the game room and we played ping pong. The children enjoyed the arcade. We saw wild turkeys on the property every day.

Nice but with issues

House was nice and clean. Kitchen is nicely supplied and has quality cookware. The house sleeps 14, but there were not 14 full sized plates. There was not a propane tank for the grill. We called and was told a maintenance person would bring one, but no one did. A bar stool lightly bumped the end cap of the bar tile and the mortar gave way; a small tile fell off but did not break. Tile just needs to be re-attached. Thankfully we have insurance because they are claiming $1500 to repair????

Great location and views.

This is a wonderful property for a group of friends/family. We had plenty of space for group dinners; loved the fire pit; and we had a wonderful bull elk with his group come to visit and bugle. The property could use some "love" and attention. A deep cleaning is in order - bathroom heat registers in particular. Also, several of the mattresses need to be replaced - really sagging and not comfortable.

Excellent location for an extended family vacation

We rented both houses on this property for our large group of siblings, partners, kids, our parents, etc. This includes info on the other house as well. The houses are very, very close together, face one another, and I recommend renting both houses for the best experience. My extended family takes a vacation like this through VRBO somewhere in the country every summer for the last 10 year and had a great time here. Location: wonderful and felt very remote, like we had the natural surrounding to ourselves. However, it was literally less than 5 minutes from downtown Estes, and less than 10 to the Beaver Meadows park entrance. Amenities: The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to make all our meals (cookware and some spices), we utilized the grill daily (plenty of propane for the stay), and we really enjoyed the fire pit and chairs. Plenty of outdoor seating. The younger kids (and the college-aged kids) enjoyed the game room, and being able to open it up (it's in a remodeled garage) was a plus as we had excellent weather. There is not a tv in each room, but who needs TV when everyone is outside enjoying the scenery and visiting. One recommendation would be to have more than one towel per guest as towels sometimes get used quickly if hikers come back wet, the hot tub is used, someone spills a glass of water, etc. All in all, we totally recommend this place to groups of family or friends.

Good,

Maintenance needed on window screens, lawn/patio furniture, ping pong paddles in game room need resurfacing. Recommend fans or ceiling fans for bedrooms upstairs because tend to become warm during the day and evening.
