I loved the dishes, bowls, etc. Really eclectic and fun. The porch looked really cozy and inviting; I think if we hadn’t been staying during early winter weather-it would be a great place to spend the day reading.
Absolutely perfect stay for our 2 families with kids. Kitchen fully stocked, lots of books and board games, play room in the basement. Cozy and exactly as described. Super responsive host. Would love to come back!
We had a wonderful weekend stay. The house was perfect for our family plus our daughter’s friends. The games were a hit and the space was cozy and idyllic tucked in the woods with a view of the pond.
We had a great time and would stay again. We played a lot of pool at night and hiked during the day. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a get-away.
Seven of us stayed for two days. The cabin was well-stocked with firewood, which made for a truly cozy experience. Everything was well-labeled. We couldn't imagine a better space in Western Mass.
Great area, well stocked cabin. Plenty of games and toys. Access to log into streaming services. This was our second start here and we plan on visiting again.
This place was a perfect getaway in the woods of the Berkshires. The place had all the amenities and more. I would highly recommended! The description is extremely accurate.
The property was clean and neat, Iris had everything we needed when we were there. The layout of the house made having the kids upstairs in the loft, really beneficial. It is definitely remote, which was a huge part of the charm. If we’re in the area, will most likely stay with her again!
Great property, very secluded, borderline rural. Terrific boys’ weekend away,,,fire pit, pool table, college football on tv, well furnished getaway. We did some hiking at Clam River Reserve, lunch at the New Boston Inn, and then dinner at The Well in nearby Great Barrington. The property was beautifully clean and very comfortable. A person place for a weekend getaway.
We had a lovely week-long stay. The house stays surprisingly cool with just fans, even in the heat of mid-July, especially in the basement hangout room. The house is very well equipped, and everything is in good condition. The area is great for those who like peace and quiet and lots of small lakes, hiking, and biking nearby.
Four of us competed in the GNCC Senior Men's Curling Tournament in Norfolk, CT and stayed here for the event (about a 25 minute drive). No complaints. Everything was as described. The pool table made for an enjoyable evening of additional competition.
The cabin is a very well-cared for property that was also super cozy. It was thoughtfully stocked with numerous necessities. My family was able to enjoy the peacefulness while Inhad a very long weekend in Tolland (next door). It was a welcome relief to call the cabin home. We will absolutely be back again! Favorite feature: the enclosed porch with insanely comfy Adirondack chairs.
This is a very pleasant house, with nice dimensions, and a downstairs and upstairs, so one isn't always up against others inthe house. The most agreeable part is the screened porch with a view out over greenery and a corner of the lake across the road to sooth the eye. One is about half an hour away from Great Barrington to the north and Winsted, CT to the south. Handy also to Columbia Count in NYS. The road is quiet, and I got a lot of use out of York Lake about 8 minutes away by car. Altogether we had a great time and no complaints.
Great place! Very private and it was a beautiful area! Great hiking around (we loved going up to hike part of the Appalachian Trail and Benedict Pond…only about 20 min away) and, while not much to see and do in town, Great Barrington wasn’t far and there was plenty there. We love playing pool, so the pool table was an added bonus and it was great to drink our morning coffee out on the screened in deck looking out over the water and nature. Very relaxing weekend!
The property was spotlessly clean and well appointed. It was a perfect home base for hiking the many trails available in the area and visiting museums. We visited Bish Bash Falls and the Ventfort Hall mansion and Gilded Age Museum in Lenox.
We enjoyed the game room downstairs with the pool table and the dart board. The foliage colors were spectacular. The property is very remote, which I like, but be advised you have to drive a considerable distance for groceries or gas, so factor that into your planning.
The only quibble I have is not with the owner or the property, but with the VRBO app. I received messages from the owner via the app, but was unable to open or respond to them. This is important because I read in the book provided by the owner after arriving at the cabin, that cell service can drop out about 30 minutes before you reach the property. Fortunately, my on-board GPS in my car remained operational, so I was able to navigate there, with my sister following my car, as her cell service dropped out.
I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again.
The cabin was adorable, unfortunately the washer didn’t work while I was there and the musty smell downstairs kept me on the main floor.

Hi Kaydean apologies for the washer. It was bad timing it broke just before your arrival and fixed on the day of departure. As for the mustiness, the cabin had been closed up before your arrival and usually takes a day or 2 with the windows open to clear
