The bungalow is perfect for two to four people. It’s decorated in some fun ways. It’s ideally situated near the beach, Sarasota, Palmetto and Lakewood Ranch. We found every thing we needed including full set up for the beach. With family in town we’ll be back.
Good location close to the water and downtown Bradenton. The attention to detail when decorating this craftsman bungalow is evident everywhere you look, it has been beautifully done. And the original woodwork adds so much character. It all made for a lovely, very comfortable stay.

Thank you so much for the kind comments about Mango Cottage. It was truly a joy to host you we hope to do so again in the very near future.
My home away from home for a week. Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful furnishings, clean, plenty of amenities. Owner very accessible and helpful. Only a few blocks from where my old college friends were staying for a reunion.
This historic home is oozing with charm! The home has well curated decor & is generously stocked with items. We loved sitting on the porch swing sipping our coffee. It’s a good location close to downtown Bradenton, AMI & 1/2 mile to Publix.
We were very pleased with this lovely rental! Convenient location in a quiet neighborhood, charming decor, comfy bed, all contributed to a good visit with my Bradenton family members. Thank you!

Beautiful and quaint house; lovely host. This house has so much charm and is located in the perfect spot in Bradenton. To the west, the beaches and islands, to the east, downtown (with a wonderful farmers market on Saturdays). We would definitely stay here again. The house has all we needed, including a wonderful sunroom off the master bedroom. And Karen is truly a special kind of person; warm, kind, and helpful. Unique and perfect as a host.
Thank you for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay at Mango Cottage. We have regular professional pest control and take cleanliness very seriously. During Florida’s rainy season, an occasional palmetto bug (not a roach 😉) can make its way inside. In this case, it was just one, which you reported, and we handled it right away. We truly appreciate your understanding.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was super clean and cute. We were only about 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island which was so convenient. Karen was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend :)

About the host
Hosted by Karen
As a native of Bradenton, I spent my childhood soaking up the sun and sand on the stunning beaches of Anna Maria Island or playing on the playground at the nearby Lewis Park. James, originally from Belfast, Ireland, and I crossed paths there, and we’re now excited to be splitting time between Northern Ireland and sunny Florida in the near future. We can't wait to share this slice of paradise with you and look forward to hosting you soon!
Why they chose this property
We chose our 1925 cottage in the Historic River District because it offered the perfect blend of charm, convenience, and connection to nature. Just a mile from downtown Bradenton, we loved being close to local shops, restaurants, and the riverwalk—while still enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of a tree-lined, historic neighborhood. A short drive takes us to the breathtaking trails of Robinson Preserve and the sugar-sand beaches of Anna Maria Island. This home felt like the perfect place to slow down, stay inspired, and feel rooted in Florida’s natural beauty and history.
