Cozy Cabin #2 - Sleeps 6 - Full kitchen + fireplace - between Boone & Blowing Rock NC

This is a smaller cabin with a queen bed, a double bed and a pull-out sofa. There is a kitchen area with a full size oven, refrigerator, sink, and microwave. This unit also has a gas log fireplace and a washer/dryer combo. Parking is very close to the door and there are no stairs. The door to this unit overlooks the pond and fountain. A short walk down the wooden stairs just a few steps away will take you to our outdoor grill and picnic area located next to the clubhouse. One night's rent + taxes will be charged upon booking. These charges are fully refundable with a 24 hour cancellation, but forfeited in the event of a no call / no show.

The cabin is in a great location and not far from Boone, Tweetsie, and the surrounding area. Things I wish I new before is that the cabin has no A/C and the cabin is the downstairs unit of the office and other cabin building. It did the job for the night.

Location was good for us to our destination. Parking and driveway we steep as expected in mountains, and close to our #2 rental. Lots of ice in the parking area still, with salt /dirt to help with traction, slippery still. No snow anywhere else. Unit was small compared to others we have stayed at in Boone. Fit all four of us comfortably, once we moved/slid the couch between the living room and dining room, as we switched out area of need, for the night.. TV was difficult to operate and power was unplugged as well as a loose HDMI cable, which we fixed after 15 min of messing with it. And 3 remotes were provided 1-with batteries 1-with one of two batteries, 1 with no batteries lol- we figured it out but was an attention to detail that was missing for us. A bath fixture was broken and on the floor when we arrived as well. Doors to both bedrooms were not hung correctly and would not stay closed by themselves. Blinds in the windows, in one bedroom (no windows in Other bedroom) were also not hung correctly and allowed a 3inch gap for sun in the room at early AM. Gas fireplace was working and a plus- base board heat and fans were great as well. Host was informative and responsive to our email and text for our arrival. Unit is dated but clean and well kept and has plenty of kitchen tools. Linen and towels, and were nice we had plenty with extras if we needed them. Check in was 4pm check out 10am which worked for us on our one night stay and was 33 minutes from our destination.

Wonderful visit....

The folks that manage the property were so personal and friendly. Very helpful. The area is well marked so you know where to take care of trash, find extra parking...etc. Very quiet location and feels secluded but you're only minutes away from grocery store. Beautiful area and we hope to return in the near future.

The heat was set to 85 when we got there so the room was incredibly warm. I recommend that you have the basics there for maybe a single cup of coffee.

Perfect Overnight Stay for Skiing

We were looking for a place convenient to Boone and skiing just to spend the night. We arrived after check-in and easily found our check-in papers and key. It was unfortunately already dark but the complex looked adorable. We did walk down to the frozen pond. The unit was perfect for six of us for the night. The fireplace and dryer were nice to dry wet ski clothes. Everything was very clean and we wished we could have stayed a few more days. We had dinner in town, just a few minutes away. Would definitely stay again.

Good enough for a one night stay

Clean, only 5 minutes from Blowing Rock downtown easy to get to, except the driveway which is scary and difficult due to extremely sharp and steep turn off main road o to gravel drive. You can’t see where you are going, at least not in our suv Fireplace didn’t work. Called 24 hour maintenance at 9:30 was told couldn’t fix until morning. Disappointing as it was a perfect night for a fire Be aware that even though they charge for cleaning fee they have a long list of things they require you to do or they will charge another $50. I prefer places that treat us as guests not as the cleaning crew
