Beachfront Villa nestled 30 mts above the beach inside Villas Playa Maderas. We have fiber optics as good as any city in the world. This villa shares the pool with another villa. An unforgettable place, 11 km from San Juan del Sur to relax and have the best experience with family and friends, enjoying amazing sunsets and wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean.

You can enjoy many different spaces around the Villa. In front you have the grass under the palm trees to watch the waves. You have a view of the bay, a direct view of the rock of Playa Maderas for the most incredible sunsets. Behind the villa there is a large dining room and grill with good shade during the day.

Take a dip in the 13m infinity pool or use your own direct access to the beach. There are different small private terraces around the pool. A great feature is the traditional nicaraguan palapa where you can enjoy shade and a fesh breeze where you canl enjoy the waves. You can use it for reading, work remotly on great wifi, dinner or party. The pool also has its own bathroom. Its normal to ask to have breakfast or dinner served at the palapa and enjoy traditional nicaragua style of living.

A complete experience of both views and nature, very private with 24 hour security and housekeeping, kitchen staff at your service on request. The staff can help you with the grill and cooking.

We have excellent fiber optic wifi to work remotely or study from home.

The Villa has private parking right next to it. You can enjoy our terraces with wonderful views, as well as the shared pool. Access to trails and restaurants on the beach.

Family Trip in Paradise!

The view is breathtaking, ac is cold, pool is refreshing and staff is fantastic. My whole family enjoyed this vacation. We had yoga instructors come from San Juan most mornings for family yoga in the private palapa as well as masseuses a couple times for sunset 10/10. The beach is really close, surfing is fun for all levels, restaurants are delicious. Town is about 30min out on a dirt road, and they are building a new road as I was there so may be closer soon - will be back!!

Best views, surf is amazing people are friendly food is good.The unit was amazing and Ricardo was super helpful and a friendly person. He helps with anything you need from taxi to excursions. Would come back here for our next trip to Nica! Cannot say enough good things.

Ladies Annual/Birthday Trip

This was beyond a beautiful property/location, very private, great communication, very accommodating to your needs and we all felt very secure/safe. Our driver for outings, Walter was absolutely awesome! The restaurants along the beach served some of the best food I’ve had on vacation! I would suggest booking an all day private catamaran which had great service, food, dolphins and a private beach. No negatives really but things I wished I had known…..it’s a 2 1/2-3 hour drive to the property, you will change vehicles close to the property due to elevation/need for 4 wheel drive (if you rent transportation), the stairs down to the beach are no joke, they are easy going down but difficult coming back up if you are not in good physical shape. Overall I would highly suggest the Villa, the view and pool alone are so worth it!!!

Amazing Family Vacation!

Our family of five (2 adults and three kids ages 13, 13, 15) stayed at Villas Playa Maderas (Palmeras) for a week in March 2016. Our experience with this rental well exceeded our expectations in every way (and we had high expectations). To start with, Richardo was excellent to work with on the booking and payment. He was very accommodating and offered advice about the best time to come, transportation, meals, etc...the villa itself is exactly as described in the posting - yet, in many ways it is indescribable. The sunsets, the warm breeze off the water, the view, the sounds of the breaking waves, etc... Are difficult to put into words. The house was perfect for us in every way. It's open design was nice and yet everyone had their own privacy. The pool was absolutely perfect, clean, and refreshing and the view...is epic. Sharing the pool with another villa is no problem at all - we had a couple of neighbors and had a nice time getting to know them. And, the pool is plenty big. The location of the villas is fairly remote yet perfectly positioned between two fantastic beaches. The walk to the sand is 144 steps down the hill to the water. Maybe 2-3 minutes. Playa Maderas is only a short beach walk away where there are a couple nice restaurants with good food and cold beer. The beach is clean and beautiful. The surf shop at playa Maderas rents surf boards and most people go there to surf. We rented boards for about $5 for a couple hours. Lastly, the villa staff are really what makes the villa an amazing place to stay. Marie was very helpful / friendly and responded quickly to every request. She arranged for a couple of different staff members to cook for us for four nights - this was such a treat. The food was fantastic and very Nica authentic. Freshly caught fish, beans, rice, fresh veggies...wow. The security staff are very professional and friendly although their English is not very good - I tried to practice my Spanish pretty much every day and we often had a good laugh at my poorly articulated words. We felt very safe at all times - never a concern for us at all. Also, SJDS is a short taxi ride away and there's lots to do and see there. In general - I would highly recommend the Villas Playa Maderas for a family getaway as it really does have it all - the house, pool, beach, staff, and the view were all unforgettable.

Beautiful location, lovely property

This was my first time in Nicaragua and I went with my 3 adult children and partners. The property is excellent. Spacious living area, well laid out and each bdrm has its own bathroom. Kitchen has everything you need. Beautiful patio area and an infinity pool with an amazing view. I could sit and watch the surf and the pelicans all day and the sunsets are beautiful. The beach in front is like a private beach and was a great place for a morning run. It also has a small restaurant. It's a 5 min walk along the beach to Playa Maderas surfing beach with 4 bars/restaurants. From Playa Maderas a shuttle can take you to San Juan del Sur for $5 USD return. A 20 min walk from Playa Maderas is Machete - a small market and cafe. We had a fabulous vacation. Thanks to Ricardo, the friendly and responsive owner and to all the staff at Villa Maderas, particularly Haydee who arranged a great day trip to Ometepe for us.

Wow!

This is really a wonderful place, spoken by someone who has traveled all over the world. You have a million dolllar view but also a fabulous beach, the best I have ever experienced. Gentle decline and no rocks or stones whatsoever. We had the whole beach mostly to ourselves. The house is lovely and the staff responds immediately to your every need. We are already making plans to return next year.

Perfect vacation home

Stayed at Villa Palmeras for a week and it was the perfect set up. The villa is located on a beachfront cliff with breathtaking views of the pacific ocean. Views closer to sunset are even more stunning. My parents are older and they didn't leave the house much, they were not bored hanging out at the house all day for a week. It is an easy walk down to what is basically a private beach and another 5 min walk to the left is Maderas Beach which has restaurants and beach chairs/umbrellas. We surfed every day (rentals and lessons also available at Maderas Beach. Even though we were there during Easter week which is the busiest time of the year the beaches at Maderas were not crowded. Pool is also excellent, bigger than it appears in the pictures. The entire staff is very helpful and friendly (we had car issues and Ricardo personally drove up to help jump start it). If you are visiting the pacific coast of Nicaragua I really don't think you can find a better place to stay. If you are going to rent a car make sure you get an SUV as the dirt roads are banged up and there are some steep hills. Overall Nicaragua significantly exceeded my expectations and a big part of that was the set up we had with this house. Generally speaking the people are wonderful, the food is good (and cheap), and most of the tourists are laid back surfer types so if you are looking for a slightly off the run destination go to Nica.

Extraordinary!

It's been a week since I left PlayaMaderas and still can't get over it. Villas Playa Maderas is the most beautiful place I have experienced. The villas are perfectly located just north of SJDS. You are far enough away from the party scene but close enough to visit and return to serenity. The villas are perfectly appointed. Internet was never a issue to keep in contact with friends and family. The staff and people of Nicaragua are wonderful. Never felt uncomfortable even on drive from Managua. But the most beautiful part of the trip was the view!! Words cannot describe sitting in those chairs overlooking the pacific with the gentle breeze as the waves crash in the distance. My only thought is when I will return. Do not miss this place!!

Exceptionally Perfect!

I had the pleasure of spending a week in Villa #3 during early September. I was so impressed with the accommodations that I had to write a review. The place is perfectly designed to take full advantage of the breezes in a hammock or lounge at the infinity pool all day and admire the giant waves and perfect sunsets. The surf break at the private beach is perfect for beginner surfers and the sand is perfect for lounging. This place has all of the first world amenities, including super fast internet and 100 channels of TV with channels in English. The staff was more than accommodating and actually dinned with us to send us off our last night and celebrated a birthday. I have been living in and traveling in Latin America for the last 13 years and this is one of the gems of all of my travels. Oh yeah, there is a powerful AC unit in each bedroom that was a huge plus. BEST PLACE TO STAY!

Everything about Villas Playa Maderas is AMAZING. We travel every year taking a month getaway, and our rule is we will never go to the same place twice... BUT this will be the exception to the rule. We most definitely will be returning! The view is stunning, it's a short 2 minute walk to the beach along a private path, the infinity pool at sunset is to die for but what makes Villas Playa Maderas stand above any other place is the staffo. Without the wonderful team it wouldn't have the same energy of a home away from home. Right from the time of booking Richardo personally called to confirm dates and to see if we needed anything else arranged. Roberto and Maryleth live just about villa #1&2 and will take the very best care of you-they are the sweetest people you will ever meet- they take huge pride in that they do. I highly recommend getting Maryleth to make your meals, she's an amazing cook! The 24 hour security team at the villas are great. This is the safest we have ever felt travelling, and when travelling with children you can't put a price on that. We highly recommend Villas Playa Maderas to anyone travelling to Nicarugua! It's a place that can not be missed!

Great place!

If you surf it is the perfect location! We rented villa 1&2 for a group trip and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff is wonderful and you feel very safe & at home with them. Nilla might be one of the nicest people I have ever met. It is very private and the only place in the area that you are so close to the beach. Maderas is a 5 minute walk and it brakes almost all day everyday. Even though Maderas is so close to the house you walk around the bend and it is basically your own private beach. We travel to Central America very often and for long periods of time and this is by far our new favorite spot! There is no doubt in my mind that we will be returning.

Absolutely Amazing!!

This is the type of review that hurts me to write because you almost want to keep it all to yourself. We had two groups of friends stay in Villa #1 and Villa #3 for 10 days. Both had spectacular views. It's a must to be at the infinity pool near Villa #1 for every single sunset. Or you can just lay in the hammocks and patio to get a spectacular view. The Villa's are very nice. It's not 5 star accomadations, but it's very nice. It's excellent for the price. There is very good AC in every bedroom, the kitchen works, there is a TV with enough english channels but you won't want to watch much tv.The beds are fine. The living room/dinning room is large with huge windows that open all the way around. It could use a comfy couch, but I think due to the open air nature and swimming it wouldn't be functional. The hammocks are awesome. The bathrooms are fine. There is a grill at each house and they stock it with wood each day if you ask.We cooked lobster and fish we bought in town for cheap near the fishing pier. Villa 1 has a bar with sink, and stone wall waterfall in front of a nice outdoor table for dinner. You can walk (5 to 10 minutes) on a trail to a famous surf beach, Playa Maderas. It double breaks (outside for experts and smaller close in for beginners). Meet other tourists, have amazing fish taco's, drink $1.30 beers, rent a surf board for $10 a day, get a surf lesson, get a messsage, etc. From Villa 1, you can walk straight down in 3 minutes to a beach around the corner from Playa Maderas that almost no one uses.In fact, during high tide, visitors from Playa Madera would have a dangerous walk. You just walk down a private trail that is guarded. It's smaller waves that close out, but great for swimming. It's also much larger with more sand. It's fantastic. The roads to San Juan Del Sur are bumpy and may need a 4wd at times. It takes 20 minutes (due to slow driving) from Villas Playa Maderas to SJDS. There is another beach north, Playa Majagual, walking distance from there villas and Playa Mersella about 1km south. The weather was perfect. high of 85 to 90 with winds that made it cooler. it rained twice for few minutes in the evening. SJDS is a fun town with plenty of visitors, food, and bars. Find the hut toward the pier to buy whole fresh caught fish.They filet it for you. $20 to feed 7 people fresh snapper. The staff is great and accomadating. Security. Cleaning. We can't wait to go back. :)

Great Time, Beautiful Beach

This place was awesome!!! The beach was pristine and the pool was an added feature for night swimming. Down the beach about 1 mile away theres a great beach bar "Tacos Locos" cheap drinks, good food. The staff Renee and Nellia were great too, friendly and helpful. No complaints.
