About the host
Hosted by Molly Sidwell
The cottage is on the Ranch property our parents established in 1986. Inspired by a trip to Scotland to explore Dad’s roots, they envisioned the Matheison Mountain Manor as a welcoming place to raise Scottish Highland cattle. Since then, M3 Ranch has seen the birth of many “hairy beasties.” While it remains a working ranch, Angus cattle now inhabit the pastures. Our mini Highland cattle, Buck and Bella, and their friend Happy, the miniature horse, represent the legacy of our parents’ dreams.
Why they chose this property
The cottage is across from the Pigeon River so you will hear the sounds of the rustling water. In addition, it faces the Great Smoky Mountains. It’s quiet, serene, but close enough to local towns.
What makes this property unique
The M3 Cottage is unique in its location, story and the care we give it.
