Lovely Home- near fine dining and pool area (Bret Harte Cottage)

The Bret Harte cottage is a charming get-away that has been delightfully decorated by the owner. It has a French Country motif. Enjoy the view out the back window of the giant oak tree and the golf course across the street. Children can play in the common area lawn out in front. Directly across the street is fine dining at Camps restaurant and the pro shop for the award winning Greenhorn Creek Golf Course. The recreation area (two seasonal pools, small fitness center, Jacuzzi and tennis courts) are a three minute walk up the road.

Beautiful stay in Angels Camp

A beautiful, clean, spacious cottage. Check in and out were a breeze. The kids loved the dvd and vhs selections. Would stay there again.

We drove on a gravel driveway to a carport. Definitely country ( which we wanted) wooden porches and decks. Entry to the home was clean and updated, very nice. The rooms were spaced nicely with two full baths. Nice laundry room off the kitchen and it leads to primary bathroom and bedroom. Living room comfortable. It was my first time turning on a swamp cooler. Owner was very helpful; I was able to turn it on easily. Boy do they work!!! We enjoyed our stay.

The house matched the property listing perfectly with no surprises. The place is pet-friendly so our doggo was able to join in the family weekend plans nearby. The house was immaculately clean with eco-friendly products throughout the house, which was a very nice touch. We were able to access the pool, which was very close-by, and dined at Camps, walking distance from the property. Overall, we would absolutely stay there again. A couple of comments: the VHS and DVD collection was off the charts, 10/10, had a full range of Disney, rom-coms, thrillers, and action movies. However, the TV itself was not set up to be a "plug and play" - we had to configure the cords, figure out which remote to use, etc etc, all on a tiny TV - not exactly something you'd expect to do on vacation after a long day when you just need to turn on the TV. Secondly, the listing does allow you to use the washer and dryer. However, the washer was the only thing in the house that was not clean - the spot you place detergent in was moldy and gross, which deterred us from using this amenity.

Get away

Our experience was a good one. Unfortunately outside circumstances took over- fires, thunderstorms etc. whatever issues that property management could respond to were quickly resolved. We will be back and would recommend our accommodations.
