About this property

Nature's Edge | Experience Maroon Bells @ T-Lazy 7

Tucked at the edge of the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, this rustic-chic 2-bedroom cabin rests on the storied 200-acre T-Lazy-7 Ranch—Aspen’s longest-running family-owned ranch. Overlooking Willow Creek and framed by Pyramid Peak, the cabin offers serenity, sweeping views, and immediate access to year-round adventures, just six miles from iconic Maroon Lake. A soulful base for four, where nature’s grandeur meets ranchland charm.

Out where the pavement ends and the peaks begin, the Nature’s Edge Cabin sits quietly in rhythm with the land. Set within the historic T-Lazy-7 Ranch, a working ranch since 1938, this second-story log cabin offers a rare blend of rustic warmth and immersive access to Aspen’s wild heart. Here, Pyramid Peak rises in the distance, Willow Creek flows just below, and the trails of the Maroon Bells seem to start right at your doorstep.

Inside, exposed beams and hand-hewn details nod to the heritage of mountain life, while oversized windows frame views so striking, they feel like paintings come to life. The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area invites slow mornings and easy evenings—whether you're making coffee on the electric range or watching the light shift across the mountainscape from the cozy sofa.

Two queen bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, with plush linens and the kind of stillness only the wilderness can offer. Wake each morning to views of the valley or the sound of rushing water—here, the natural world is your backdrop.

Step outside to your private front deck, perfectly positioned to take in the grandeur of Pyramid Peak. Watch ranch life unfold below or simply let the creek’s melody quiet your mind.

While peaceful in setting, the location offers effortless access to adventure. Walk to the T-Lazy-7 Adventure Center for guided snowmobile tours in winter or horseback rides and e-bike rentals in summer.

From your cabin, it’s a six-mile ride or drive to Maroon Lake, the gateway to the most photographed peaks in North America. Or simply wander the ranch’s scenic trails, where wildlife sightings, wide skies, and mountain air make even the quiet moments feel unforgettable.

There are no campfires, drones, pets allowed and no fishing, swimming, or wading in the river or ponds. Perfect for: Nature lovers, couples, families, or small groups seeking a soulful retreat immersed in Aspen’s wilderness—where the comforts of a cabin meet the storied charm of a working ranch.

Maroon Bells cabin

Perfect Location outside Aspen. Rustic cabin well appointed for Maroon Bells. Bike hire on property which is working ranch so limitations. Couldn’t walk the property and note to be respectful of workers living and working below cabin. Beautiful night sky. Gift shop never seemed to be open unfortunately. Price point was appropriate for Aspen but resort fee of $350 charged which left us puzzled as certainly not a resort. Typical vrbo fees made it expensive for a two night stay.
