Walking distance to great restaurants, trails, buses, bars, and groceries. Only 10 minute uber to airport. You'll love this cottage in Slumber Village!

Built in 1946, this cottage was recently renovated and holds a lot of the historic charm with modern amenities and comforts. Fast Wi-Fi for those who need to do zoom calls while visiting.

Kitchen has stove, microwave, fridge, oven and plenty of space for longer term stays. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Super comfy mattress.

Access to the cottage is via keypad so all hours locked access is available for travelers coming in late.

Check-in time is 3 PM. Check out is 11 AM. Because of frequent bookings, it is difficult to accommodate early or late checkout.

Close to trails, restaurants, and downtown.
The cabin is within a couple blocks of truly great restaurants. Spenard Roadhouse and Bear Tooth Theater are local favorites. Yak & Yeti serves great Tibetan food to go.
For nightlife, Chilkoot Charlie's is a 5 minute walk which is a little mecca of different bars and has live music every night. If you head in, I advise heading straight to the bird house for some local stories. Ask the bartender there about the ptarmigan horn

Close to bus stops for those who use public transportation. Nearby there is a bike rental shop that has mountain bikes and e-bikes.

Overall, value for the money. Host was extremely responsive to all needs and questions. One item could use improvement which was taken care of directly with the host. Also the room could use chairs so guests can sit vs on the bed. Grounds were super clean, room was clean, we are very happy with the place, host and value. Would stay here again.

Everything you need & great location

A little quirky (read the brochure about how it was lumberjack housing and survived the earthquake of 1964) but has everything you need for one or two people. Really enjoyed my stay. :) Great location -- Jackie's Place is great for breakfast just a couple blocks away. Spenard Roadhouse, Bear Tooth, and Chilkoot Charlie's also easy walking distance. When I was there in May there was even a Farmer's Market nearby on Saturday. Hope to stay here again!

Only thing, kinda big to me.

Everything was nice. Looked good. Besides the blood stains on the pillow case. Seemed like they just tried to hide it, and flipped the pillow over. I was just done after that. Only stayed one night.

Cedric - Your credit card payment failed and you were kindly evicted. That is why you were only able to stay a single night. I can assure you that we throw away any sheets that have stains from a previous guest stay. For guests that do need extra sheets or linens, we have a secure linen storage area available for all guests.

It was a perfect little place that had just enough space to feel big yet not too much where you felt you were paying for space you weren't using. There is no sink in the bathroom so you have to use the kitchen sink. There is a small fridge, small stove, and microwave but bring ground coffee as as the coffee maker does not use PODs. The area is iffy - not "unsafe" but i was too nervous to walk around after dark. Nothing happened in the week we were there and the clientele was very safe.
