Lonestar Ponderosa - A tip of the hat to your host's many years spent in Texas. Throughout this wonderful waterfront home you will find many tributes to Texas. They say, "everything is bigger in Texas", and Lonestar Ponderosa has more square footage of outdoor decking than some homes have total square feet. Enjoy 1,200 square feet of decking, most of which faces the beautiful waters of Arnold Lake, one of the area's cleanest bodies of water. Arnold Lake is a pristine 63.7 acres of water, locally known for its great brown and rainbow trout fishing.

Once inside Lonestar, the lake views are very much the focus of the architecture. A large great room with kitchen, dining, living, and desk space greets you from the moment you open the door. Large windows and sliding glass doors open up the entire wall facing the lake to let in tons of light and let you enjoy the ever-changing view. One level below, there is more decking, this time, a private balcony off the primary bedroom. Wake up to the tranquil water's of Arnold Lake right outside your bedroom.

This home has plenty of space for your small group to spread out and relax. Feel the relaxation sink in as you get comfortable on the decks or nestle into the couch.

There are 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath with shower on the middle level of Lonestar. In the primary bedroom with the private balcony there is a queen bed, in the North bedroom a King and in the South bedroom another Queen. Located in the lower level another full bathroom and laundry area. This is a great multipurpose space, part bar, part game room and part gym! From here you can access the water and docks that stretch out into Arnold Lake.

**NOTE - 2 family dogs live here in the off-season.

Gorgeous lake view, quiet setting and surroundings, a great dock for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing and a wonderful host that is super responsive through the stay. And if you are here for baseball, super close to Cooperstown dreams park and an easy spot to run back and forth from.

Relaxing lakefront getaway

Beautiful home with stunning views of Lake Arnold! This stay far exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms were spacious and the outdoor areas were perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. We especially loved the deck overlooking the lake. The location was peaceful yet convenient. Communication with the host was excellent—responsive, friendly, and made check-in/out seamless. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway at the lake!

Perfect Stay

This place is exactly like the photos show. It is a beautiful house on a beautiful lake. Spacious, good ac, clean and everything we hoped for. It was only a 15 minute drive to Dreams park and our family enjoyed the solitude of the lake after long days of baseball. We rented a kayak and paddle board from a local company that made days on the lake even better. Highly recommend.

Beautiful lake home close to Dreams Park!

Beautiful home. Gorgeous lake. Great location. Close to Dreams Park, took about 15 min. We preferred this location and lake over the big Lake Ostego. Fish right off the dock which kids loved catching. Owner was super nice and responsive. Only complaint would be the house was lacking in amenities to enjoy the lake. So pack your own floats and fishing rods and enjoy the beautiful home close to Dreams Park. We would recommend and stay again.

Beautiful Convenient Thoughtful & Clean

Our stay at Lonestar was fantastic. This location is super convenient to CDP and yet feels like a vacation in itself. The lake view from all three levels is phenomenal. Spacious and super duper clean. This home is thoughtfully equipped with all the supplies and comforts one needs for a delightful stay. Ideal for those traveling from afar. Tom, the owner, is very kind and available for anything one might need. He was super helpful without being intrusive. Highly recommend.
