Phenomenal rv. Phenomenal setup. Phenomenal communication. Couldn't recommend Steve anymore! Such a fun way to explore Maui. If you're on the fence, don't be. Just book it!
We used the camper van to travel to Haleakalā for sunrise (we stayed in the park overnight) and then we completed road to Hana and stayed at a campground along the route.
Convenient way to explore national Park and road to Hana. Battery never had enough power to keep frig running at all during night. Steve was helpful and delivered a large Yeti cooler that worked great.

I ordered new lithuim batteries for the solar system . I was unaware the batteries were low. I replaced the batteries 6 months ago..The lithium batteries should resolve the issue
Steve’s camper van was the highlight of our trip! We were able to sleep so many cool areas of the island! The camper van was super clean and well stocked with the essentials. Very easy to drive and operate the different amenities inside the van!
I was so impressed with the entire experience. Steve is an amazing host. He communicates promptly. The RV was well stocked with basics and very clean. Even when I ended up having a self-induced problem, he was quick to respond and so very gracious. When I go back, this is my first choice for the RV experience.
This was such an amazing and unique experience! I'm so glad we had this option instead of having to find a hotel and rent a car.
We spent one night on the slope of Haleakala and saw the peak soon after sunrise even though we weren't able to get the lottery pass. We drove the road to Hana stopping along the way and bringing everything to live with us. We then spent the next night on a secret little black sand beach that turned out to be a popular surf spot in the morning. Nothing beats sleeping and waking up in these places - only possible with a camper van like this!
This van is short enough that you don't need to worry about navigating it at all, you can park in normal parking lots and drive the narrow windy road to Hana without a problem. But it still has everything you need including a fridge, bed, lights, outdoor shower, chairs, umbrella, cooler, stove, bbq, AC (generator powered if you need it but we didnt).
Steve was a great host and the van was very nice! Pickup and drop off were a breeze and all we had to buy was our own food and gas.
If you're up for an adventure, this one is for you and a much more fun experience of the island than a hotel. we stayed at the Andaz resort for two nights before this and would take this next time for sure!
You have to be willing to be creative with overnight parking! Be nice to locals and they'll be nice back.
