If you're looking for a small affordable family cottage in a quiet location within an easy walk to the beach (2 blocks), then this is it! Very comfortably furnished and well-equipped (especially the kitchen), kept in great shape by part-time local owner, the Cooley Cottage offers a quiet yet very convenient location. There is just a short walk to a beach access with a lifeguard stand. Virtually no traffic on this cul-de-sac, yet right in the heart of Nags Head activities, whether it be swimming at the beach or sound, shopping, or a variety of outdoor family activities. Plus it’s pet friendly! Grab those boogie boards and take a short walk to the beach where your family and your pooch can enjoy the Atlantic Ocean at its best.
Restaurants, Nags Head Fishing Pier, coffee shops, shopping, and a variety of family amusements are all a short walk away from the quiet yet convenient location of this cottage. This is the perfect spot for those athletes coming for marathons! The cottage is a block from where the November race starts!

Best location, favorite vacation! CCC is great, my family of 6 wouldn’t change a thing - we especially enjoyed the lower level/rec room area and being central to so many fun places in Nags Head.

I had a wonderful stay at this location just two blocks from the beach. The property was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made for a very pleasant experience.The kitchen was especially impressive and well-equipped, with all the utensils and essentials you could possibly need to prepare meals during your stay.The host was also very thoughtful and communicative. I was notified that the house was ready about 30 minutes before the official check-in time, which was a really nice touch and made arriving much easier.Overall, I had a great experience and would be happy to stay here again. Highly recommended!

The property is very well kept and clean. The communication prior to our arrival was fairly quick with responding time and helpful with details. The communication once we checked in was poor. It took several hours for the VRBO host to respond to our questions when I would have expected a faster turnaround to issues encountered.

House was clean enough to be healthy, but there were some areas under furniture that could have been better, but all-in-all, house was clean and ready. No evidence of other pets staying in the home and we made sure our pets did not leave any thing behind! Outside could use a good cleaning/sweeping of spider webs around the deck railing, but outdoor furniture was comfy. A good place for my husband to enjoy his pipe and watch the world go by when the rest of us were out and about. Refrigerator and dishwasher nice and new. Stove also, but the top needs a good cleaning, we tried. Furniture inside was comfy with lots of pillows to help settle in. Beds were clean and comfortable, lots of pillows available. Showers were good, bathrooms clean. We enjoyed our stay, my grandchildren loved it, and shared the bunk beds without too much fussing. Great house for a family, great location with just a short walk to the Bonnet Street beach access. Close to shopping and other activities. The host was very friendly and hospitable. She lives nearby and responds quickly to any questions or requests.

“Our” OBX beach house

We have been coming to CCC for over 20 years - love the house updates thru the years and the convenient location to many of our favorite places in OBX. This is the only place we have stayed and already looking forward to our next trip!
