If you want amazing old world charm with all modern conveniences, a bucolic view complete with yard cows and peace and quiet with a pub close by, this is your choice! The hosts are amazing.

What a stunning place in every way, location, cleanliness, decor and furnishings and superbly equipped. The hosts Mick and Louise were really helpful and communications very clear and simple.We’ve spent a lot of time in the lakes over the last 30 years or so and Swallows Loft is amongst our favourites. It’s an ideal base for exploring some of the quieter, less touristy parts of the lakes. Windermere lake is a short stroll away and Hawkshead a short drive away.The local pub/restaurant the Cuckoo Brow is great for relaxing and dining the food and service are great I would highly recommend. Great quality and value for money Swallows loft gets our vote every time. A must do.

Lovely stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Swallows Loft. It was comfortable, clean, well supplied. And the communication with Louise was excellent and very friendly. What beautiful views! And lovely surroundings - where you can walk to Top Hill (Beatrix Potter), Moss Eccles Tarn (where we swam). It is easy to take the ferry to Bowness-On-Windermere. We can surely recommend this appartment!

Great stay

Enjoyed a great week and the weather was perfect. The apartment felt like home from home, comfortable, well equipped and with stunning views. The pub was within easy walking distance serving average pub food. We did many walks from the doorstep. Communication with Louise was good. Would recommend a stay.

We have stayed in may properties in Far Sawrey. We were incredibly impressed this flat. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, everything we needed and great communication with Louise. We are already looking to see when we can return.
