Perfect place to stay while visiting St. John! The hosts were very friendly, stayed in communication and made sure we had no problem getting to our villa. You have everything you need for a fun or relaxing beach day already there for you and can walk to Cruz bay where all the shops and restaurants are located if you didn’t want to drive, perfect location. Will definitely be back!

Indoor outdoor living with a view!

Absolutely loved our stay! Location was perfect! Make sure you understand how to walk to town without walking the large hills. The view and openess of the fresh air was one of our favorites about the property. Perfect space for our family! Would definitely rent again.

Amazing Villa

My husband and I really enjoyed the villa. We have been coming to St. John for many years and this place has become one of our new favorite places to stay and will definitely return to it. It was very spacious and we absolutely loved the indoor/outdoor feel with keeping the doors open. Most times there was a constant breeze so we were able to leave them open most of our trip. The place had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time there.

Wonderful for a reasonably fit couple

We rented this villa for a weeklong trip to celebrate a major anniversary. We found it comfortable, squeaky clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The size is perfect for a couple, though a family on a budget could use the pullouts in the living room and make it work. The screened wrap-around porch has a lovely view of an inlet and the surrounding mountains, with a bit of open ocean, and the pair of swings are a fun touch.The walk to town is reasonably easy, and there's a wooded footpath about a block from the rental, which leads to a small bird sanctuary and beach. By car, it's an easy trip through town to access the National Park sites, though the road out of the neighborhood is in extremely poor repair, so probably best for renters who can withstand a little jarring. Ability to climb stairs is also a must.The owner was very responsive when we contacted her with questions, and we would gladly rent from her again if we returned to St. John.

Even though I'm not on island full-time, I care deeply about the guest experience and work closely with Kelly, our wonderful on-island co-host, to make sure everything runs smoothly during your stay. From check-in to check-out, our goal is for you to feel supported, comfortable, and at home while you enjoy the island.

Why they chose this property

We choose this neighborhood because it offers the best of both worlds: a quiet, peaceful setting with the convenience of being walkable to downtown Cruz Bay. Stay Salty is tucked into a calm pocket of Conch Villas, a small community with only five units, so it feels relaxed and uncrowded.

Guests love being able to walk to restaurants, shops, and the ferry, then come home to a quieter place to unwind after a day of exploring beaches and snorkeling. It's the perfect balance of close to everything without feeling busy.

What makes this property unique

Stay Salty has a warm Caribbean feel with beautiful Brazilian hardwood throughout, giving the space a cozy, natural island vibe. It's thoughtfully decorated to feel like a true retreat rather than a generic rental.

One of the guests' favorite features is the porch with the hanging swings. It's the perfect spot for morning coffee, post-beach lounging, or winding down in the evening with the island breeze drifting through.
