Stone cottage on heritage Chianti estate-pool-tennis

Part of this splendid organic Chianti heritage wine estate is the 4-bedroom cottage on the grounds of Villa Rignana, which dates back to the 16th century and is set amid 150 acres of vineyards and olive groves with spectacular views. Arabian horses enjoy galloping freely in the fields near the villa, and two playful alpacas try to keep up with them!<br>There is a great country restaurant just a 5-minute walk away, Cantinetta di Rignana, and many others in the area.<br>The Rignana estate is in the heart of the Chianti region, 30 minutes from Florence and 10 minutes from Greve in Chianti and Panzano.<br>The stone cottage is 3,000 sqf and features 3 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a children’s playroom, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, and outdoor dining in its secluded garden.<br>We operate sustainably and produce our own products, such as wine, olive oil, honey, and seasonal organic vegetables.<br><br>Guests have access to the estate’s facilities: an infinity pool, tennis, bocce, and billiards.<br>There is also a golf course 25 minutes away, and wine tastings can be arranged at the famous Chianti wineries<br>Please note that this cottage was renovated in 2024 and now has its own kitchen; previous reviews mentioned that breakfast was provided because it did not have a kitchen at that time. If you would like catering service, please let us know in advance.<br>The owners live on the estate, and Alessandra is a passionate cook who is happy to share information and tips about the area. Once a week (on Saturdays), her pizza chef fires up the wood-fired oven and serves lunch at the tiki bar by the pool. The pizza is made with sourdough starter and fresh ingredients from her garden.
