The Kihei Akahi complex and condo is one of the best and most desirable locations in southern Kihei. This condo is nicely updated and conveniently located just across from Kamaole Beach Park II. Listed as one of the Worlds Top 10 Beaches. The condo also has one of the best ocean views to watch the beautiful Maui sunsets or whale watching, during season. It is equipped with everything you would want/need for your stay. Private bedroom with Queen bed, queen sofa sleeper for additional guests. Fully set up remodeled kitchen, washer/dryer, TV, electronics, iron/iron board, beach gear, free internet, linens, etc. Tennis courts are on site for your game enjoyment and BBQ grills for the cooks that like to grill out. Two pools through out the complex, allow you the comfort for your R&R on the days you want to soak up the Maui sun, or just to read a book. You will feel at home while in Paradise at the Kihei Akahi. Shopping and dinning near by within walking distance, with grocery stores, fine dinning, and afternoon happy hours!

Great place to stay for my spring break scuba trip

The property was clean, comfortable, and easy to check in to. Its proximity to the beach and to the hub of downtown Kihei makes it very convenient. Just remember to pick up your parking pass from the front desk to avoid having to deal with any issues with security.

Amazing location and great condo

Great location with great views. After the sofa bed was replaced a week into the trip made a world of difference. Lots of extras provided by the property (beach chairs, toys, towels) lots of our kitchen items, everything that you could ever want was available

We really enjoyed our time here. Excellent location with the ability to walk quickly to Kam 2 and 3 beaches. Loved the balcony view and sunsets. We cook all of our meals due to allergies and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. Great value for the location. Thank you.

Great well equipped property. Kitchen has most items needed, including a rice cooker. Coolers, beach chairs, sporting equipment provided in unit. Grounds are immaculately maintained. BBQ grills are cleaned so they look like new every day, pools also. Close to the beach.

We have stayed at Kihei Akahi before, but the view from this unit was straight on to the ocean. Fabulous views from the balcony and the living room / kitchen. The hard surface flooring was ideal. Well-equipped unit. Very prompt response from property manager for a minor issue. As always, the grounds, pool and BBQ are well maintained.

Location perfect; suite needs cleaning.

The pool, the gardens, the balcony, and access to beach was terrific. Inside, the unit needs attention. Felt like a storage repository with multiple brooms, mops, coffee makers, cables, hand tools, power tools, paint, wood stain, ant & spider traps/poisons, etc. etc. All stuffed and stored in various closets and cupboards.

Excellent condo

The apartment was clean and comfortable. With the lanai door and the entryway doors opened there was a lovely cross breeze. The sunset views are stunning and we sat out on the lanai often. We often watched the people cooking their dinners by the pool and enjoyed that. The property is very close to the beach and we could walk to shopping and restaurants nearby. There is a fantastic ice cream shop that we often walked to. The condo itself has a number of beautiful paintings and photos on the walls and the TV stand is loaded with books. If we ever come to Maui again, we would definitely check to see availability and happily stay here again. We stayed here for two weeks and it felt like home.

The deadbolt could not be locked from the inside. We felt unsafe, but took the chance since the storm door did lock. Also, we were forced to check out (personal circumstances) and couldn’t turn the key in because the office was closed. This was in the daytime when office hours are open.

We were quite comfortable, although we felt that the owners could have updated the unit some.

The kitchen counter edges need refurbishing. The fridge needs to be replaced or, at least, the doors need to be replaced or painted with appliance paint. We couldn’t figure out the DVD player and there aren’t any streaming services. The bathtub has a “stain” that needs attention. The lanai shade broke, but was repaired quickly. The powder area sink drowned slowly but was, also, attended to. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The condo itself just wasn’t particularly “updated” compared to other condos we’ve been in.

Day 1 difficulty getting into unit and returning box on door. Toilet was broken. Day 2 washing machine had molded detergent in the tray. Day3 dishwasher was not running properly Day4 the chain to raise and lower shade broke. Fortunately my husband was successful in fixing all of the problems but a plumber was still needed for the intake valve. The maintenance on build D was horrible. Weeds everywhere and so filthy. Pool and bbq were clean yet the back bldg D was left without the same curb appeal. The staff on the property for maintenance were wonderful! So friendly and could visit briefly. We looked forward to seeing them daily!

All appliances were in good working order and kitchen, bedroom, and bath were properly stocked (linens, towels, hangers, start-up supplies such as soap, etc.). There was a good variety of dishes, tableware, etc. Bathroom fixtures were fully working but could use updating. Furnishings overall are not new, but reasonable quality and condition. With A/C only in the living room, bedroom was somewhat warm and stuffy despite ceiling fans, with windows open or closed. Neighbors/guests were generally quiet, and seemed to respect posted "quiet hours," but glass jalousie bedroom windows did let in whatever noise there was. (This was typical of the condo design, not unique to this unit.) Check-in and -out worked as stated; front office is open limited hours but staff there was appropriately accommodating and helpful. The condo seemed quite clean, but there were some small bugs. On the other hand, the location was excellent (walking distance to a great beach, shopping and dining), there was a convenient assigned parking space, grounds were lovely and well maintained, elevator was nearby and modern (stairs were an option but could be entirely avoided), and the view from the balcony was excellent as promised. The neighborhood is not as elegant as some Maui tourists would like but also not as expensive as some, and we felt safe, welcoming and comfortable. Overall the rental fully met our expectations based on the listing, and was a good value for the price.

Maui vacation

The condo was very clean, and had a closet full of beach stuff, such as boogie boards, pool noodles, all snorkel equipment, and beach chairs (which we used on several beaches, the road to Hana, and Haleakala!) the kitchen is very well equipped with cooking stuff and the view from the balcony was amazing. I will say that the couch was not comfortable and there were several cockroach’s seen in the kitchen and bathroom.

We noted the comment of pest during your stay. The complex is treated quarterly, although we understand that treatment could be needed in between if there are any signs of pest. A call with the issue of any pest or problems during your stay, to our company while you're on Island would have been very much appreciated. We have our full staff on Maui that is there to assist in these matters, and it would have been address immediately. There have are currently annual repeat guests enjoying the condo and they have not shared with us such issues of pest in the condo. We will get in contact with them and touch base of any issues, since they visit this condo for months at a time annually. Mahalo again for your input and hope to see you again in Paradise! location and view

while the condo itself is dated, its clean and functional - but the VIEW is amazing and the location is superb. Its across the street from Kam2 beach and several good restaurants are within easy walking distance. So many We didn’t get to try them all - we absolutely loved the location and hope to return next year.
