Oceanview 5th Floor Retreat Steps from the Beach,


If you're looking for a condo on Maui, look no further. Quiet 5th floor unit in the C Building with views of the ocean, Mt. Haleakala, and the garden from the lanai. Walk across the street to Kamaole Beach Park II for excellent swimming, snorkeling with occasional sea turtles, or strolling the beach. There are two on-site swimming pools, two BBQ areas, a tennis court (rackets & balls available to borrow at office), and the grounds are a botanical garden with abundant flowers and fruit trees.

This one bedroom/one bathroom condo can sleep up to four guests with a king bed in the recently refurnished master bedroom and a NEW sofa bed Dec /2020 with memory foam topper, air conditioned living room. The living room opens up to a lanai with gorgeous ocean and mountain views. From the 5th floor enjoy views of Mt. Haleakala to the east and the crystal blue ocean to the west. In winter months keep an eye out for humpback whales breaching and spouting as they pass by.

The kitchen and bathroom were remodeled in 2008. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all the cooking utensils you will need. The in-unit washer/dryer is convenient for washing beach towels or clothes. The unit is also stocked with beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, towels, boogie board, cooler, sand toys, etc.), guide books, novels, games, and more. There is free private WiFi in the condo as well as a TV with Netflix included and DVD player for in-unit entertainment.

During these covid 19 times we are keeping the unit empty for 1 day in between check-ins and we have added extra cleaning time.

The location was absolutely ideal, there were several beaches within a short walk. The beaches were great and there was always room for us. There are lots of amenities around. The pool and BBQ area was great. The condo itself was a bit dated but overall we were very happy with where we were.

The condo manager Natalie was very helpful and attentive. She did her best to accommodate a request we had! Thank you Natalie. The condo was very clean, kitchen is well stocked, beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys were a nice added touch! Bed was very comfy! Patio was covered so was great considering it rained a lot. Saw whales spouting when dining on the patio. Reserved and free parking spot was convenient and the location of the condo was right across from the beach! Liked the pool too! Small but not many people using it! Would definitely stay here again!!! No ‘cons’ to consider!

Fun get away!!

Everything I viewed when booking, was just as it was when we arrived! And the beach was actually closer than I anticipated! Everything in the condo felt as if you were at your own house! Just in a better location with a view! lol we couldn’t have asked for anything better and would come back here and stay again! Lots of places to shop or eat just within walking distance! Which was a bonus for us! All the amenities that go with the condo are awesome! And it is a very quiet and relaxing site! I would recommend anybody to stay here!

Clean and comfortable. Nice view of ocean. Angled view. Well equipped kitchen. We cooked at home most nights and found nothing lacking. Plenty of nice restaurants/cafes in walking distance. Cinnamon place in adjacent center worth a stop for takeout but go early or wait in long line. Location is excellent to travel to a variety of places in Maui. Our activities included: Pineapple plantation, cacao farm, Maui Winery, relaxed on beaches in Kihei and further South, dinner at Mama’s Fishhouse, whale watching tour, Distillery tour, Glassblowing factory and did the “Road to Hana”. Never felt far from any destination. Beach was indeed close. The two pools were nice. We used the BBQ Grills at pool areas and found them to be high quality DCS grills and very clean. Wine cork remover in kitchen drawer was broken but I bring my own. We were watching some NFL playoffs few nights that weekend. They could do with a larger TV. But that’s really not a negative or complaint - you don’t go to HI to watch TV!! But having a VRBO cabin which I rent myself at Yellowstone I know things like that can make a place more attractive and elegant without huge expense, so I thought I’d mention it. TV and Internet worked fine.
Nice palms adjacent made patio feel private. Nice place for a glass of wine or a beer at the end of the day.
Nice sunsets visible from balcony. If you bring your binoculars, you may see whales from the balcony. We did.

Nice location. C building has good ocean views from the lanai. Window AC in living room not effective at cooling. Bedroom has no AC so if it’s hot at night (almost always) you’ll be sleeping in the living room. The pull out sofa bed would not collapse back to a sofa so we were stuck with an open bed in our living room. Benefits included beach chairs, towels, umbrella, snorkel gear, and a nice walk in shower. Of course Kihei Akahi has beautiful grounds 2 pools and great ocean views

We had a comfortable stay at this property. It is convenient to several beaches and I walked across the street to the beach every day.There are local restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. Lovely sunsets off the front balcony walkway if you don't want to walk to the beach.

The location was great. The place is a tight if you have a big family. Was clean. Loved having coffee on the balcony and the washer/dryer for those beach days. Only negative was the unwanted 4-legged visitors, so don’t keep your luggage on the ground. Besides that, it was not a bad stay.

Awesome place and fantastic location

The property is just as described and everything was provided. The kitchen is well stocked with regard to oil and spices. It was also great to have beach chairs and masks and snorkels at our disposal, including two coolers. The bed was super comfortable as was the pull out sofa bed. It was a pleasure working with the owner/manager and we would definitely stay there again. Mahalo

Lovely stay in Kihei!

The unit was fantastic & had everything we needed. We really took advantage of the full kitchen & enjoyed using the beach stuff. The unit was exactly as pictured. Location is great - right across from Kam II (great for watching sunets!) & close to everything in Kihei/Wailea. Natalie was super amazing, responded to questions quite quickly & even let us stay a little later past checkout (late flight). The staff at the office were also very friendly & helpful.

We had a wonderful 12 day stay at the condo. Close to beach and pool. Pull out couch was good for our teen son. Main bedroom was large, but could have used a better lighting. Kitchen was equipped with basic supplies. Blender was a bonus. Overall great condo and would recommend staying there.

My wife and I live an hour north of San Francisco near the coast on a family farm. We have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren so far (our son and grandson are pictured on the surfboard just off Kamaole Beach across the street from the condo). I am a general contractor and my wife works at our local community clinic. She also grows a variety of fruit which she makes into jam and sells to local stores. We make it down to Kihei 1 to 3 times a year and have had some great family vacations.

Why they chose this property

We first visited Maui on our honeymoon in 1974 and have enjoyed going back over the years. When looking to buy a condo we rented a unit in Kihei Akahi and decided it was the best complex for us - with convenient access to a family-friendly beach, beautiful grounds, and walking distance to great restaurants and shopping.
