Fantastic Getaway

Great little house!

We had a great time at our stay at The Southern Cross. The house was very clean, excellent location that was within walking distance to everything, the private pool was amazing. So nice to have the pool/courtyard area to relax and get away from the crowd. The property management was quick to respond to our request for a late checkout time & great to work with. We would definitely stay here again.

Key West Vacay

The Southern Cross cottage was such a nice place to stay. Plenty of room for me and my grandson. Decorated very nicely, had everything we needed. The pool on the property was always clean and kept up well. The front porch was nice to sit out on looking out on the pretty landscape. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great Place

House is just as described and in a great location that is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and a trolley stop. The place is very well maintained and even though we were there during a bad storm, everything outside was quickly cleaned up the next day as if it never even happened. The pool Is peaceful and a nice way to the end the day after spending it outside in the key west heat.

Great location and great place to stay!

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday in July with our two dogs. It is a fantastic location, only two blocks from Duval and two blocks from the beach. The yard is fenced in so it is a perfect property for those who want to bring their furry friends along with them. The house was very clean and well maintained. They stock all of the classic house necessities so all you really need to bring is food and drinks. The property management company was responsive, attentive, and very friendly. We had an amazing trip and I highly recommend staying at this beautiful property!

1. You gotta replace scratched pans 2. Need to sharpen or replace knives 3. Should make clear that the upstairs bedroom is the childrens bedroom, not an adult bedroom. Otherwise was great, nice space.

Stay in the Keys

The house is cute and clean, the way it was advertised does not make you realize that it is a part of a hotel group. The soap in the bathrooms was awful, along with super thin toilet paper and what was supposed to be the pull-out bed was very small. The upstairs loft is SUPER small, so small you will hit your head often if you stand over 4 feet tall. I feel it was way overpriced, and did not tell the whole story of room in the house for what it was. The neighbors are very close and the pool just in the back of the house lends to late-night talking and drunk guests. I would not choose the property again. But the customer service and staff were super and so sweet.

Thank you for the compliments on our staff. Customer service is important to us. Our home is not part of a hotel group. Each home is individually owned and it is part of a home owners association with a shared pool, much like a condo. The homes are close together so it is unfortunate if you had neighbors that were intoxicated and being loud. The city of Key West has a noise ordinance so this could have been stopped by calling the city of Key West police department, non emergency phone number. We hope you enjoyed your time here!

Wonderful Stay

We stayed for a week for a family vacation. The house was wonderful! Everything was as it is listed. The loft room was perfect for my two teenage kids. The location of the house on the property was great. Private walkway to the shared pool, which was used daily by us, and hardly anyone else. The location of property in proximity to Duval Street, Southern Most Point, and beach’s, was fantastic! If you don’t mind walking, which we don’t, you wouldn’t need a car your whole trip. We took full advantage of the porch in the front of our private yard. I will say, It is right next to a well used street so there is some noise from cars, trolleys, bikes, walkers, golf carts, however that’s not something that bothered us.The cushions on the metal chairs could use little more padding to them though. There is one thing that I would be remiss in not mentioning, or making a suggestion. The pull out couch. While it was big enough for my husband and I, it was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like it was on its last life. Springs were popping up, it was uneven everywhere. I would highly suggest replacing the mattress. Having said that, please don’t let that deter you from thinking twice about renting Southern Cross. We had a great trip and wonderful stay. Thank you!
