We had a great stay at this little house! It was exactly as described in the listing, the spiral staircase is incredibly narrow and steep. I found it difficult to navigate but it was not a surprise since it was clearly stated. The location is great and we were able to walk to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Consider the staircase but other than that I’d definitely recommend!
Beautiful cottage with a huge backyard (perfect for letting our pups chill and run), very well appointed house and yard with everything you need. Well within walking distance of not only historic Harper’s Ferry but lots of good restaurants and shops, we only used our car to drive to Antietam. Our hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful and it’s clear that a lot of care is put into this welcoming cottage. We will definitely be back!
Really nice property, and exactly as advertised. There were several local restaurants within easy walking distance (we loved both Bolivar Bread and Snallygaster's) and it was a fairly easy walk to the historic part of Harper's Ferry. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard.

Great location. Walking distance to downtown Harpers Ferry. Short drive to all the vineyards. Very clean house with many charming touches. Great restaurant and wine bar 1 block away-Snallygasters Cafe. Highly recommend staying at Casita Azul.
The house was well equipped and comfortable, it had everything we needed. As fully described, the spiral staircase to get upstairs could be challenging for some, it was not a problem for us. Communication was great.
The house was beautiful and clean. All the beds were so comfortable! Kids had a lot of fun running around the huge backyard and playing croquet. We're already wanting to go back!
Perfect place to stay in Harper’s Ferry. Cottage is exactly as pictured nestled on a quiet street. Very clean , comfortable and beautifully decorated. The fenced yard was large and the perfect area for the dog to run in. The hosts were pleasant and responsive.
We loved our stay. The location was central to everything we did; the car stayed in the driveway for almost our entire trip, and the yard is perfect for dogs. The house itself is exactly as shown in the pcs. Highly recommended
Sizeable backyard with nice amenities for entertaining. Bathrooms were large with plenty of hot water. AC was excellent throughout the property. Spiral staircase was narrow but manageable for small children and moderately mobility impaired adults. Would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay. We had one hiccup with the code for the front door not working, but the owners communicated immediately to get us in! We really liked the fenced in yard for our dog and the fire pit with fire wood so easily accessible. One thing we learned about Harper’s Ferry is the abundance of gnats!!! Bring your bug spray!! Loved this house!
Was not very clean upon arrival. Hair on bed sheets and bath mat. Floor was dirty with white dog hair and glitter. Load of wet towels left in the washing machine and large cobweb in hallway upstairs outside the bathroom. Nice yard for the dog but not very clean.

We addressed the guests issues upon check in. We live close by, which I imagine she didn’t realize and were there within 10 minutes of the text message. Guest would not let us in. The “not very clean” part was glitter from the Christmas tree and decorations. IF there was A cobweb, it was in the high part of the ceiling. We being hospitable allowed this guest to check in early and use our washer/dryer (it is not normally provided) She thanks us by complaining in a review about a damp towel left in the dryer….
What a lovely, cozy, clean property! The location was in the heart of Harper’s Ferry. Everything advertised was exactly as described, even nicer, inside and out! Cathy, our property manager was communicative and helpful. We will be back!!
Checkin was easy and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. The house is adorable, well furnished and extremely clean. It's just off the main road, but was peaceful and quiet. We saw deer grazing out in the yard one evening.Only two things were less than perfect...the king mattress wasn't comfortable, and the staircase was horrible. I know there isn't much room, but that can't be the only option.
Place was clean ..had all the necessary bath and kitchen items.
Very convenient to historic part of Harpers Ferry..
Large fenced backyard for our dog…
Would give it 5 stars but winding , circular metal stairway was very tight.Fortunately both of us are slim so was manageable.
Plan on staying here again if visiting Harper’s Ferry/Charles Town area..
The property was perfect for our needs. Pet friendly, fenced in yard, and clean. The grill was perfect, new and well kept. That allowed an evening in enjoying the property and a great steak. The host couple was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We would stay anytime we were in the area and we both hope that will be soon. Thank you for a great visit. Lewis Family
The place was immaculately clean. The yard was huge and my dog loved it so much. The spiral staircase is a little tricky but it was still really neat. I love spiral staircases. The place was beautiful and in a perfect location. We really hope to stay again very soon.
The property is absolutely beautiful. The backyard is perfect. The only drawback is the spiral staircase. Although it is written about in the ad it is difficult to understand how steep, twisty, and scary they really are!!! Now my husband and I were fine but my pups did NOT like them at all. We were kind of forced to sleep separately because the dogs couldn't navigate the staircase and we were not comfortable leaving them alone downstairs all night. Kind of a bummer since we were celebrating my husband's birthday!!
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at this lovely little cottage in Harpers Ferry! We had zero issues with our check-in as it was all virtual and our door code was provided the night before our arrival. We enjoyed the incredibly comfortable king-sized bed and two full bathes for showering at the end of the day. The kitchen had plenty of appliances for brewing coffee/tea and an assortment of pots, pans, and spices for cooking! The spiral stairs could be challenging for those with mobility issues as they are a little narrow, however, we did not have a problem. Our two dogs absolutely adored the large, fully fenced backyard and there were dog bowls provided at the property. The string lights in the backyard were great for relaxing in the evenings under the stunning WV sky. This property is also right in a small downtown area that is easily walked to from the cottage! There are a few restaurants and shops for those looking to explore. We checked out The Barn on our first night and had a blast listening to their live music performances! We would definitely book this property again!
We enjoyed our stay at the home, and it was very convenient to well-known Bolivar eats and a reasonable walk to the main part of Harper's Ferry if you are a walker. We enjoyed sitting in the side yard and chatting, walking across the street to Kelly Farm Kitchen and the Bolivar Bread Co.
2 things that were "as advertised" but may not work for you. 1) The spiral stair is tight. Seeing how the first floor lays out, it was likely chosen to maximize the living space on level 1. I am a petite 5'1" and my son a lean 5'8" and we had to be mindful taking our luggage up the stairs. 2) People who do not have dogs should consider if they are sensitive to smells. Everything was very clean! You can just tell some guests were fur babies.
