WATERFRONT-3BR, 2BA Log Cabin On Big Indian Lake

Privacy and serenity abounds here at this Log Cabin ON Big Indian Lake at one of the headwaters of the Sabasticook River surrounded by rolling farms here in Central Maine. Our 3BR, 2 Full bath Cabin built in 2001 sits on 1/2 acre of property and is located in Saint Albans, Maine. First floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom with shower, lovely kitchen & dining area has high ceilings. Second Floor boasts Master Bedroom, Living Room and Full bathroom with shower & tub. Beautiful front porch, fire pit, barbecue. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises each morning, mountains close by to climb, long nature walks and so much to do--close by. Woods on both sides of cabin. Owners will consider pets. Guests must provide their own linens/towels. We will provide pillows & blankets. $150. per dog pet fee.
**OUR CABIN IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR WINTER RENTAL AS IT IS NOT WINTERIZED**
Full Basement just added. Great space for games/etc. New floor installed in bedroom upstairs 2025.

The perfect lake house in Maine for our three week stay - it just doesn’t get batter than this. Jake was an excellent host and responded to the few questions we had right away. We absolutely loved our time at Dragnfly!!

Best trip ever!

Jake is amazing! She is fabulous to work with. The house is fully stocked with all necessities. The quietness the loons, we just breathed a bit deeper! Would highly recommend this place!!!

loved our week at dragonfly Inn. The teenagers fished and caught 10 different types. We had white perch for supper. Two nights …..delicious. One night there were nine Loons in front of the house. Enjoyed their Erie callwe are very comfortable in the house is very well stocked. Nothing like a week at a lake in Maine ….thank you.

Happy kids and happy grown ups.

It was very nice place to take a few weeks at a lake the only thing I didn't care for was the weeds in the water and the rocky shore but we made do the camp it self was great we where all very happy with it clean and every thing you could need and was glad I could take all five of are Dashounds as whole we love it.

My family loved staying here and will continue to come back every year. The cabin was clean and spacious with almost everything needed. There wasn't a couple things I needed in the kitchen but not a big issue. It was beautiful sitting on the porch in the morning watching the loons on the lake while drinking my coffee. Great place to unwind and appreciate life. My kids didn't stop swimming the entire time and one night we took a little drive to Skowhegen for some shopping and dinner.

Perfect place to get away

First thing I got engaged on our first day there in the dock! Our family had a wonderful time on the pond. We swam, fished and kayak. At night had fires, hung out on the porch and played Uno at the table. It was so peaceful there! Kids had fun playing games downstairs. The owners get back to you quickly and answered all my questions. Don’t think twice renting here, just do it, you won’t regret it.

Peaceful week on the lake

The property was very clean and comfortable and everything worked correctly. The kitchen was well supplied. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the sunset. The yard is large and grassy for the dogs to play. Plenty of wildlife. Loons, bald eagle passing right by us each day. Fishing was very good. The most peaceful kayaking. We aim for peace and privacy and this home provided that. Owners were very responsive. We hope to return another time!

Great holiday

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Our vacation was scheduled outside of the normal summer season, but there was still plenty of fun to be had swimming, kayaking, and fishing. If our future vacationing plans bring us back to that region of Maine, we would definitely look into renting this cabin again.

Great location and nice to have the dock for the boat. Enjoyed having the dogs with us. Property manager was very quick to respond when we called due to a power outage. We had a wonderful week at the lake!

Beautiful, quiet vacation lake

This property was great and just what we were looking for. Easy swimming from the dock to the raft, clean water, use of kayaks and firepit. Was able to take the kids in the kayaks to a few of the islands on the lake. Overall the lake was pretty quiet, only a handful of boats out on the busiest days. It's fairly remote (in a good way), but there is still access to groceries and laundry within a 20 min drive. Internet fast enough for video calls (i had to work a bit...sigh...).

We purchased in August of 2015 and we love it. We come here to relax, enjoy time with our families and take in the beauty of Big Indian Lake. The sunrises here are breathtaking. The lakefront property is perfect for just about anything! We love to kayak and this lake frontage provides a nice swimming area right outside your front door!

Why they chose this property

Having come from a mom who was born in the great state of Maine, we have always loved coming here to vacation in the great outdoors! From Kayaking down Maine Stream to skiing at Sugarloaf Mountain and visiting the amazing Coast, we wanted to own a slice of the heaven that everyone enjoys here in Maine. From lobster dinners to outside barbecue dinners, enjoy the freshest and greatest food! Hiking and Fishing at its best.

What makes this property unique

2BR and 1 full bath on the first floor. 3rd Bedroom (Master Bedroom) with Master Bathroom on the 2nd floor. Living Room is on the 2ND FLOOR***** Awesome lake frontage for swimming, kayaking, boating. There is boat ramp a few miles away so you can bring your own boat if you so choose.
