This newer oceanfront property will exceed your expectations. Master bedroom is huge and has separate living area. Views from the second floor living areas are outstanding. Pool has a gas heater that works quickly. Location is just five miles north of Sebastian Inlet which has some of the best fishing in Florida. You can rent a boat or kayak at Honest John's fish camp and explore the Indian River. Orlando attractions are only 60 miles so day trips are easy.

The GOOD…excellent location on the beach. The BAD…the house and property has been neglected. First sight when pulling into driveway is a rusted out garage door, broken light fixtures and a busted second story architectural porch surround. A typical Florida rain cell had moved in during our arrival, a clogged curtain drain outside the side door pool/patio access created cesspool of filth from the nesting bird droppings from the adjacent hurricane shutters. Once inside, the neglect continued to show, multiple exterior doors would not open. If exterior doors did open, they had significant daylight showing at door frame. Obvious water damage prevalent on ceiling on second floor…including coffered ceiling in main sitting room. Dingy and unsightly attic access panel in second floor bathroom. General cleanliness of the interior was mediocre. View from second floor (main gathering area) has a beautiful ocean view. The narrow balcony with a single plastic chair and sitting table, offers a view of the unkempt landscape, a ladder and an assortment of polls strewn throughout the bushes. The neglected beach access decking and stairs had nails sticking up throughout…some as high as 1/4 of an inch. Dispite the disappointment from all the above, we weren’t going to allow it to ruin our family vacation. Then, the cockroach and Palmetto bug infestation became apparent in the kitchen on the second night of a six night stay. Stay away from this property until owners correct these issues.

The gas stove makes a continuous clicking noise which was a bit annoying. The pool area and pool itself do not have lighting which makes it inconvenient to use in the evening. We reached out to the maintenance man for instructions to turn on the pool heater and never heard back. Aside from those small inconveniences, the house is in a great location right on the beach. It was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The living area is spacious and plenty of beach towels are provided. Bedrooms have ceiling fans and we were able to set the AC at a temperature that was comfortable for us - a nice perk compared to other properties we’ve stayed at.

Been going to Melbourne Beach for 25 years and this by far had the best view from the house. I could sit in that chair and watch the ocean for hours. Absolutely beautiful
