My boyfriend was so surprised. He knew we were staying by the lake but he had no idea that we were staying in a "castle". The first thing he did was make a little video of everything and post it on FB.

A little confusing to find the entry gate when first arrived but it was a beautiful place to spend a few days for R&R. The castle was beyond our expectations. Elise was a wonderful host. She responded to all of our questions in a timely manner.

If you have a big truck or a very wide vehicle [ I have a Ford F150 Tremor] and another person has parked under the pull through garage you may not fit. Small section for guest 1 and 3 are in the covered archway. Had to park in spot 2 outside or if both spots were taken and I could not get my truck in left in the middle driveway.

We apologize for the parking situation, as it is somewhat of a tight fit. We are working on a safe solution for future guests and appreciate your feedback. We do hope you enjoyed your stay at Villa del Sol otherwise! Thank you!

Overall stay was great and we enjoyed the property. My only suggestion is to review your information that's posted for accuracy. The directions and the check out times read differently in different places. Said check out was at 11pm and the address sent us to the gate next door. It was a little confusing trying to find the emails with the right information again. We are in Texas and still summer time hot the bedroom did not cool down at 70 at night so it was very hot us for us. Luckily, we brought our tower fan. I would recommend putting a town fan or different settings for summer vs winter. We will definitely book again during the winter! Other than that everything was amazing. Kitchen definitely had everything we needed during the stay. Property was beautiful and the view was the best part. The host was VERY responsive! We enjoyed spending our anniversary here! Thank you--LaToria and Joseph (Sept 2026)
