Beautiful cabin in the quiet woods of Maine with river access close buy. It was a peaceful and beautiful area to spend some time and we will definitely be back!
This cabin in Brownfield Maine has a beautiful interior with everything you might need for a great stay! The property manager, Nadine is excellent with communication re any questions or needs. It is clear that great attention and care has been paid to the details of up to date design, comfort and impeccable cleanliness. The cabin is in a very quiet rural development of seperated high end properties, perhaps a mile from a main road to access other local options or nearby towns. The rental is pet friendly. A picnic table and outdoor seating area with firepit is provided in a large area covered in woodchips , tagged with a sign "Caution pesticide", reportedly this is to eliminate mosquitoes, but it made me cautious about allowing my dog in that area. Within a short 15 min? drive is: Back Burner Restaurant, where we had a very good dinner. There is a Menonite run Country Market store where you can access fresh produce and great food prices! That is near 2 campgrounds where kayaks and canoes can be rented. Stone Mountain Arts, a fabulous music and dinner venue, that requires advance ticket purchase, is a wonderful, local experience. Several hiking trails of 1-4 miles in length with fantastic long range views over water and mountains are part of the local Francis Small Heritage Trust. Access to additional shops, eateries, & other activities are easily available in surrounding towns.
