Travelling from Houston to Colorado, we ended up arriving around 2am, our hosts were the most responsive and accommodating and allowed us to enter early. The home is exactly what we wanted, great view with a hot tub after a long hike day was heaven. We felt close enough to town but far enough to feel like a fairy tale. Fairplay is great central spot to visit Glenwood, the Rockies and Denver town. I will definitely be coming again.

Great location with lots of space, no dining table, not enough towels for hot tub, no large pot for boiling pasta, bean bags were super empty

When we first arrived the first thing that stood out was the Garage door had multiple broken windows and one that had a garbage bag taped over it with the others just open, understandable but odd. When we first opened the door the first glaring problem we saw was a sign on the sliding door saying the Hot tub was broken, one of the reasons we chose this property and it was already known it was broken but not communicated before we booked, frustrating to say the least. Since that was such a last second problem and with Labor Day weekend I didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding a new place. I decided to make myself a coffee and immediately the Keurig machine doesn't work, tried different outlets, nothing, Contact the host they're nice and by the time they get back to me, I had already found a second machine in a kitchen cabinet that actually worked, Odd but whatever. No AC in the home, the overhead ceiling fan didn't work and between the 8 people we had, we found one working Box fan, luckily 2 windows had screens so we could let the cool mountain air in (many others had no screens) The views are beautiful, the place was decent, the lack of care for the home and general odd things like dead batteries and no welcome booklet like most places, were able to be overlooked. If you want a run down vacation home managed by a property management company that has a deck that is sagging, barely attached to the home and a broken hot tub, Welcome to Silverheels Mountain stay.

Overall great property, easy check in, clean place. Reason for the 3/5 rating: I got called 2 hours before check in that the wifi router is broken and they will fix it by the following day. Following day they brought the wrong router and couldn’t fix it. That same day we noticed a huge puddle by the toilet and notified them that its leaking and we turned off the water to protect the bathroom floor. They told me they’ll send a plumber out that day. No one came. I checked in and they said they can’t get a plumber out until the following day which is Saturday. I also had to check in about the wifi and how it’s not working and they said now they have to order a new router so they don’t know when it will be done. Then supposedly a plumber came and fixed it but we didn’t see a difference with the toilet at all. Obviously this was frustrating, not having wifi and relying on our phone services out in the mountains is NOT ideal. I understand things happen like this, but maybe checking on the property a couple days in advance to make sure everything is working would be something to consider. It was my wedding weekend so this was NOT something I wanted to deal with. I did NOT appreciate how the property managers handled this situation. There were 2 different people communicating to me through messages and then calling me separately as well. After the stay I get a message that they are requesting 5 star review or do NOT leave a review at all- very unprofessional.
