Property is very nice and convenient to the beach. Neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. Unfortunately, the floors of the property were not clean and the home was in need of a pest control visit. There were no potholders, which would have been nice. There were 8 of us and plenty of room. I would recommend this property.

The location of this property is perfect. However, they have a noise detector system that sends auto text an it is a big problem. Every night while we were sleeping we received text saying we violated the noise ordinance. Not once did we violate the ordinance. Also, they don't provide the basics (trash bags, toilet paper, and others). Lastly the kitchen utensils are very basic so don't plan to cook family dinners. View from the balcony was amazing.

Awesome to hear you loved the perfect location and that amazing balcony view! We appreciate you sharing your experience, though we are so sorry for the frustration with those overnight text alerts! To stay compliant with our local City Noise Ordinance, we do have a noise sensor in place to monitor decibel levels (it does not record audio). Receiving alerts while you were sleeping was definitely a system glitch on our end, and we're recalibrating the system and adjusting those automated settings immediately so this doesn't disturb future guests. Regarding supplies, we do provide a complimentary starter kit to get you settled in—which includes initial toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and trash bags—though guests staying longer or with larger groups do need to replenish these items as needed for their stay. We'll also take a look at the kitchen setup and stock up on more family-sized cookware and utensils to make cooking dinners much easier!

We loved our stay at Sunny Days and would absolutely come back. The home was spotless, spacious, and an easy walk to the beach.The management company was incredibly responsive, which we really appreciated. Our only minor drawback was the peak-season check-in and check-out times. I assume a 4:00 p.m. check-in and 10:00 a.m. check-out is becoming the standard, but it did make the stay feel a bit shorter.The only other unusual experience was receiving several automated text messages about potential noise violations, even though we weren’t being loud. It seems there may be a noise monitoring device in the house that’s quite sensitive and can be triggered by normal household activity. It wasn’t a major issue, but it was a little unsettling to receive repeated warnings when we weren’t making excessive noise.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Sunny Days to others.

Turning the house around so it's completely spotless for arriving guests takes our team a bit of extra time during busy months, but we hear you! Regarding the noise alerts, we do have a noise monitoring sensor in place strictly to stay compliant with our local City Noise Ordinance. These sensors only measure decibel levels (no audio is ever recorded!), but we appreciate you letting us know it felt a bit oversensitive during your stay. We'll definitely adjust the sensitivity thresholds so normal household activity and fun conversation don't trigger those automated texts! This house was "WOW!" Amazing location and amazing house. Views from the main rooms of the ocean, very amenable, clean, and lots of room. Our past annual family beach vacations have been in San Diego, but that has gotten too expensive and busy. This was much more house for the money. And the state beach in Oxnard was beautiful - I feel like this area is a best kept secret for a fantastic beach vacation. And this house is perfect for a big family. I especially liked the many bedrooms, with most having their own bathroom.Here are some comments that keep this from being 5 stars. These are relatively petty and I would definitely rent this again. For the cost and beauty of the house, it was missing some amenities - there was only one kitchen towel (we bought some more while there), no dishcloths, very little room to store food (the owners had many cabinets locked for their use), knives were severely lacking a sharp edge. This VRBO is clearly run by a large company, which I guess is normal nowadays. But it took away from a personal touch when communicating (some responses were clearly "canned"), and all the little branded notices around the house made it feel like a hotel.

This beach is a great quiet street near the end of the strip of beach homes… with a few paces (about a football field) you can reach the end of the street with your barefeet and enjoy the dunes… (the beach is swimmable and the dunes are not overbearing near the surf.)2nd and 3rd floor have good sunset views…The many beds allowed our oarty of 10 to all have a bed to sleep on.The kids enjoyed the air hockey!And even though there were a few hiccups, Sunny days were pretty swift and responsive to rectify those issues.

The house is modern and thoughtfully laid out. Solidly and elegantly built. It is very spacious and great for a big group.There are excellent ocean views from the living room and the master bedroom. We loved that we had two balconies. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans. The bathrooms are very nice. They provided lots of towels even beach towels. Check in they were very accommodating with check-in and checkout! They responded right away when we all alerted them about minor difficulties. We also loved the broad empty beach.
