Very clean and comfortable; has everything you need; great location for visiting Midcoast Maine; pretty view on bay from house; Tenant’s Harbor General Store is convenient and staff is friendly and helpful; nearby McLoon’s is excellent for seafood by the water!
Great for Quiet peaceful stay , must have willingness to climb long flight of stairs. TV is very difficult to navigate they keep your 1500 deposit for a month and VRBO will not release it early.
This listing is in a lovely, remote spot and we had smooth communication with the host. Accommodations are simple, but met our needs and we appreciate that it is dog friendly. The pool table was fun on a rainy day! I would highlight that this is a second floor apartment which shares a wall and (locked) door with a house/apartment. There is very little soundproofing so your stay will only be as tranquil as your neighbors. We stayed over a holiday weekend and there was a significant amount of noise from next door/outside.
The property is located right on the St George with breathtaking views of the river. The space is comfortable, clean and spacious. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Thank you Martha! Thank you for choosing Tranquility Base. We are sorry for your loss but hoped that you would find comfort, peace and beauty of the Ocean view.
Best,
Stephanie
We have rented a few other houses in Maine but this one was far our favorite.
The view of the ocean was perfect and close to everything we needed
We can not wait to plan our next visit
We enjoyed our stay in the woods! While it was “in the sticks,” Tenant’s Harbor was such a charming town and the loft we stayed in had a good view of the water! It was a simple check in/ out process, clean, and we had a great time.
We really enjoyed staying at Tranquillity Base. The apartment is right on the water and exactly as advertised. The apartment was super clean and our host very responsive. The location is ideal, very close to Camden, Rockport and Rockland. We would love to visit again!
Lovely Hideaway and close to many activities mid coast Maine.
We stayed three night and each day left early on adventures. We explore until sunset then came back to explore Tranquility Base. Don’t miss Port Clyde at Land End!!!

We loved our stay! The sunsets were so beautiful and we loved eating at the picnic table overlooking the water. I also loved waking up early and drinking coffee while reading and watching the tide come in and out.
The internet was fast and reliable for me to work and stream video. And they had an outdoor outlet next to the garage for slow ev car charging.
Had a lovely stay at this house. Very appreciative that it was dog friendly. Check in and check out hours are very accommodating to the host, less so to the guest. An AC was in the listing was not in the residence, the host had deemed it was still too early in the summer. Thankfully the ocean breeze helped keep the house cool for the most part. Really enjoyed the quiet surroundings and the amenities the house had to offer like games, books, and puzzles.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Stunning setting. A true slice of Maine coast. Private unpaved road leads up to the property. Adirondack chairs overlook the rocky cove. We saw a wild mink, kingfisher and great blue heron very close to us. Comfy recliners in the apartment give you a spectacular view. Host was very helpful
We enjoyed our stay. The unit was very private and it was wonderful to wake up with a view of the water. Lots of birds and we even saw a dolphin or porpoise one morning right off shore. The location is great for exploring Tenant’s Harbor, Camden, Lincolnville and Rockport. It was fun playing pool at night and we were able to use the Netflix already set up for movies which was great because I’m always forgetting my passwords! We hope to have the opportunity to visit again!
Property was exactly as described. It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Bed was clean and comfortable. As advertised, the property is an apartment over the garage of an attached house. The owners were onsite and opened the garage door a couple of times. Not a problem at all, and we had complete privacy otherwise, but if you are looking for total seclusion you may find this to be a negative.
The area was amazing ! The loft was perfect very quiet and cozy! We would love to stay again if it is available! The only recommendation we would make is to place safety stickers in the shower. The floor in the tub was very dangerously slippery.Just a thought to help prevent any guest injuries! We would definitely recommend this site for future visits. Thank you so much! Definitely a five star rating!!

Patrick. We are so glad you all enjoyed your stay. We would be delighted to host you all again should you return to the area.
Thank you for letting me know about the tub, I will get some grippers or a mat to prevent any falls.
Best,
The Apartment was very fresh and in very clean shape. Very private area, not many folks around, at least late Sept.
Fabulous view of a Maine bay, couple of boats in the bay, and just awesome watching the tide roll in and out. Great prices on lobster in the area, not far from a ton of great sights. Property manager did an excellent job with us. No stove, but a couple of induction burners that worked just fine with us as well as no dishwasher, but again - no problem. Well supplied with necessities. Internet and tv worked just fine for us.
We stayed for three nights while visiting family. The beds were very comfortable, the place was well appointed, and it was very clean! It also has a great view of the water, which comes up almost to the back of the loft building! Having a pool table made for fun times! It does not have a stove/oven, but it does have a toaster oven and two induction tabletop cookers, which we used to make a pasta dinner for my family one night. One thing that could make it even better, would be a small deck/porch type sitting area off the living area, so you don’t have to go downstairs to sit. We don’t often require lodging in the area but we will certainly consider staying here again if we do. Thanks for the lovely experience!
The house was comfortable. The location is 1mike down a dirt road and the house is right on the water. Very quiet and relaxing. We watched the tides coming and going. Lovely.
The pool table was fun The internet worked pretty well. We did stream some movies.
We had our kayaks but it was too deep to put in at the house. There’s plenty of places we found to kayak nearby. The bed was comfortable. There is no stove But it worked out fine using the gas grill and the hot plate, microwave and toaster oven. Stephane was helpful and responded quickly.
Overall we highly recommend tranquility place

Just what we needed!
My husband and I and 2 dogs just returned from 4 days at Tranquility Base and it was just what we were hoping for. Peace, quiet, nature and privacy. The house is beautifully and privately located right on the water which our dogs soon learned to enjoy immensely. Watching the lobster boats go about their daily routines, smelling the fresh salt air and just enjoying nature was fantastic. The area is so fun to explore and of course we could not get enough of local and fresh seafood.
We would love to return if we can be sure that we would be there alone with no one in the attached house. That would have spoiled it all for us but thankfully was not the case. The apartment has everything we needed and the pool table added a bit of entertainment in the evenings. Internet is so slow it is hardly usable which makes for a great reason not to be connected! The kitchen is tiny and challenging to cook in but we managed and enjoyed breakfast and dinner at home every night. The neighbors we met on walks were very friendly and Sarah, the caretaker was super responsive when we inadvertently locked ourselves out. All in all we highly recommend staying here. Thanks so much!
