Worked for us!

Easy beach access, located close to restaurants. The condo entrance was a little inconvenient based on the road being an eighth of a block off an intersection. Communication was awesome.

Not what we expected and random issues.

The first few days were very rocky! The adjustable bed broke in the up position on the first day so my children had a mattress on the floor for several days until it could be fixed. The washer (which I had been told was not working) took several days to be fixed. Found cockroaches (pest control was immediately sent out). While each issue was dealt with, the stay was not relaxing or convenient (after seeing the bugs, I was not able to relax or eat in the condo). The property itself is rundown a bit, disappointing to say the least. The property owner and manager did respond to issues and were easy to get ahold of. However, the problems impacted our stay and impacted our ability to really enjoy the area.

Good price for location and availability

Overall, we had a great stay. The location was very convenient, and was not far from all of the attractions of Destin and Okaloosa Island. Loved that it had a kitchen. We instacart-ed groceries to the condo which was great. It is on a busy road (the two lane highway that takes you to Destin), but the noise didn’t bother us. It was nice to be able to walk to the back of the property and be by the water (the pool view was nice, but it is also a “parking space view” from the patio. Sheer curtains would be nice in front of the sliding doors for privacy and sunlight access. There is a park/dog park nearby that was fun to visit (had to return a hermit crab we accidentally brought back after snorkeling). The keypad was a little tricky at first. The provided code didn’t work after the first time, but Kim was very responsive so it wasn’t a problem. We were given a new code that worked for the rest of the trip (just needs some patience when entering the code and unlock button). There were a few cockroaches (small German ones I think) we saw even though we kept our food sealed and put away at all times. There are house rules on the refrigerator. It doesn’t list the name of the wifi, just the password—it took us a few minutes to figure out which one it was, so a quick update to that would be great for future guests. The sliding door in front of the bathroom was odd privacy-wise as other people have mentioned, but we managed and were used to it after the first day. The thing I liked least was the squeakiness of the bed in the flamingo room. The bed was comfortable, but it was pretty noisy. The space was great for 3 people (2 adults and one teen), but I think 5 people would be too crowded. Other than those things, solid place for the price. We were very grateful to find a place at the price point we did and had an awesome time in Florida. Thank you!

Beautiful Beaches and Good Location

Condo location is close to everything , 6 minutes from Beasley Beach and Okaloosa Pier. Beautiful beaches and lots to do, check out Gulfarium for the kids and KC's snow cones (good food, beverages, and live music). Enjoyed our stay, condo is clean with full kitchen, steps from the pool, and two bedroom so kids took one and wife and I took the other, spacious. Netflix and full , BBQ grill (grilled fresh fish) at the pool. Nice vacation.

Stay was wonderful! It's super cute and comfy! Not sure why one reviewer said there is a hospital bed in there. It's a super comfortable Tempur-Pedic bed! Not a hospital bed! They also stated only one tv. Your on vacation people!!! Yes there is only one tv but we didn't have time for tv. As we were a few feet from the pool at the Condo. Also minutes away from the beach, fishing pier, and Gulfarium Marine Adventure ( my kids loved it- they got to pet dolphins). It's a vacation they will never forget!

Oh, where to start. The property looks very run down and trashy. It is on a very busy and loud road. A box fan on high could not drown out the noise. Only one tv with 7 remotes and could only figure out the one to use for Netflix. This place could use another tv, they are not that expensive. The full bed is actually a hospital bed and is very hard. The other queen bed dips in the middle. We spent no time in fort Walton we drove over to Navarre beach/Destin. The clothes dryer keeps spinning when you open the door, the table top to the dining table is not bolted on, the strips on the floor to bedrooms were not nailed down, uncomfortable couch with no coffee table, 1 table lamp in the entire condo. The rest of the place had these blaring overhead lights. I Sent an email the first day to the rental company with no reply ended up calling and reaching someone 2 days later. No reply from the email I sent to the owner, she had her housecleaning person try to contact me. Awful, awful. Go ahead and spend a few extra hundred bucks to stay somewhere nicer.

We appreciate your feedback . The location of the property is close to many attractions and on occasion the road may be busy. The full bed you mentioned is a Temper-Ergo mattress which is a luxury bed that has the ability to adjust for maximum comfort to the guests. The owner has added 2 new lamps to the property as well as a coffee table based on your feedback. The owner plans to add an additional television in the near future. As for the other issues with the dryer and floor we have not heard these issues from other travelers but the owner is having these looked at in more detail. Finally, the house cleaner you mentioned is the guest contact. The guest contact is a resource guests use if they do have issues with the property. The owner did hear your concerns and offered a partial refund for an early check out but never heard back from you with how you wanted to proceed. Again, we do appreciate the feedback and apologize for any inconvenience caused but we look forward to helping you in your future travels. Best, The Evolve Team
