Take a step outside in an animal oasis. Feed our free ranging chickens and our rabbits in their enclosure.

Walk down to DeLeon Springs State Park in 15 minutes (3 minutes by car) and enjoy the beautiful springs and famous pancake house.


Kayaks available for rent for use at either / Blue Springs (Silver Springs 50 minute drive to see some monkeys while kayaking with or without host as personal tour guide)

5 minute drive to Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge spreading 22,000 acres. See wildlife including
native birds, alligators, otters, and Florida Black Bears.

Downtown DeLand is a 15 minute drive. Enjoy local shops, restaurants, and breweries.

Daytona Beach is a 40 minute drive. Orlando is about a 50 minute drive.

This was such a great little find for our family of 4! The girls absolutely loved getting to feed the chickens and hold the bunnies. It was clean and super close to the springs and the cute downtown area in deland for shopping and restaurants.

Birds and buns is so lovely. The house is cozy and full of thoughtful details. The animals are adorable and the short ride to the springs was perfect for our weekend getaway. Eric has gone above and beyond to make a fun and welcoming space. Highly recommend a visit!

Wonderful little place to stay. My kids loved the chickens and bunnies. The host even had treats the kids got to bring out to the animals. So sweet. Also the house had a great assortment of board games for that afternoon thunderstorm that hits Florida everyday.

This location is great if you’re trying to get ahead of the line at Old Sugar Mill, since it's just a few minutes away. Eric provides a very quaint experience with many thoughful details to offer a comfortable and convenient stay. The games and putting green were a hit. Here's a review by my 11 and 13 year olds: We highly recommend! The animals are social and the bunnies are really cool to hold. Salem the kitten was so friendly and playful. Eric rescues animals. Gator the dog was friendly and playful. The chickens were fun to watch. Eric was very nice.

Very clean and nice property. The view is beautiful; we loved sitting out on the deck to eat. The place is well-stocked with all the kitchen things you need, and bonus, they have a great water filtration system. You can hear people walking above you, but we just brought some noise machines and ear plugs for nighttime and were fine. The pool is a little small but our daughters enjoyed swimming nonetheless. Overall I would recommend it!

The pictures are NOT accurate. We did not even stay 2 hrs. Mouse poop on floor, no stove, no washer or dryer. Patio covered in dirt chicken poop and leaves. Patio furniture was discusting and dirty. You didn't even want to sit on it. Yard. Not mowed. Junk sitting all over. Do not book

This is absolutely false. We have been "superhost" on another site for over a year now. All great reviews.. When I asked where the mouse poop and photo, none could be provided. Washer and dryer is in building attached to this home. We have a electric hot pad for cooking and outside grill, Which we told them in there welcome instructions. We have chickening roam free, (which guest didnt seem to be fan off.) We take great care of this space and dont appreciate these false Accusations. Especially after we refunded you. Please dont let this false review effect your discussion withyour stay with us. Were here to answer any questions you have have before and during your stay thank you.

Not gonna lie I was a little nervous when we got there, but it ended up to be absolutely amazing!!! The Vrbo homeowner was an absolute Angel! He helped us with anything and everything we needed… The chickens in the bunnies were an absolute blessing! True peace and serenity would go back in a heartbeat
