It was so beautiful, so peaceful, and by far the cleanest most detailed cabin we’ve stayed in, absolutely perfect, can’t wait to come back in the summer to see what it looks like then.
Family went to the mountains for Labor Day weekend. Stayed at this awesome cabin with a million $$ view. Seriously, this cabin was perfect in every way. Totally reccommend you others stay there.
Thank you so much for allowing us to host you and your family! We are glad you enjoyed the beautiful views from this home. We look forward to serving you again!

Reviewer Comments:
Overall we enjoyed our stay because the setting couldn't have been better. The views were beyond what we hoped for and made for awesome photos. The downside was the beds in all the rooms. Incredibly uncomfortable and made for a miserable night for everyone. The bedroom on the main floor also had some very strange noises all 3 nights that we did not get up to investigate.

Thank you Karen for your feedback and we are glad you got a 4/5 star experience out of your stay at Cozy Bear Cabin. We confirmed with the owners that as this is a new rental cabin, all the mattresses in the cabin are brand new, less than 6 months old and haven’t been slept on more than 10-12 times. They are medium to firm mattresses and were chosen based on positive reviews about them from renters at the owner’s brother’s beach rental. It appears, therefore, that your experience is a personal preference issue as opposed to a mattress issue. As far as the “noises at night”, mountain cabins, especially at 4000ft. are notoriously noisy, creaky, windy, etc. which is often thought of as part of the charm of staying in a cabin in the mountains. The other possibility is the ice maker, which does make a noise when the ice drops into the bucket. We will be recommending raising the shut off bar at night to future renters if that is the source of the noise and it is bothersome to future renters. Thank you for the feedback and hope to give you a better experience in the future.
Fantastic Cabin, Beautiful View, Interesting Water
So I want to share this first and foremost, the cabin was fantastic, the property management company were awesome and on top of things. Communication was outstanding. The only issue we had was the water in the house was a VERY dark color, even after we let it run for several minutes. This affected all water faucets, toilets, showers, etc. we called the property management company said it was an issue with a filter, they sent someone up, they replaced the filter and that helped A LOT. But the water wasn’t 100% clear, it still had a brown tint to it even after the filter was changed. We did not drink it. We completely understand it was well water…but it just didn’t seem clean. The other comment I’d share is that the property is listed as having a fire pit…..and it does. However, per the property management company, the HOA doesn’t allow renters to use the fire pits in the community, only the property owners. If things the case, that amenity should be removed from the listing.Again, the cabin, the beds, the property management company were all stellar. These are the only two challenges we had.

Overall Nice Cabin
Accessing the cabin the first time was rough, as were the roads. GPS erroneously took us up the hill to a roadblock and we had to go back down, go to Walmart and start over. The cabin turned out to be much more "cozy", as its name implies, than we expected from the wide angle photos of the listing. It was immaculately clean, but failed to have little things like paper towels and garbage bags, which made another 1 hr round trip to Walmart necessary.
The biggest problem we encountered was the fancy glass range hood which needs to be replaced or made higher as I bumped my forehead many times, once causing a gash in my forehead which resulted in yet another trip to Walmart to get bandages. (No first aid kit). I am 6 ft tall and the edge of the hood is just high enough to be out of my field of vision and each time I accessed the cooktop, I had to remember to squat down to prevent further injury.
The views from the cabin are spectacular and, it proved to be quite comfortable.! The beds that other reviewers didn't care for were nice and firm and we enjoyed them.
The local area had plenty to offer! We played pickleball each day, did some shopping and went on some very nice hikes in areas nearby.
That hood seriously needs to be replaced. Having rented homes, condos and cabins fhrough VRBO many, many times before, this is the only one in which I was dissppointed.
