Are you looking for a fun family vacation home with the surf and sand at your door step? Then this wonderful OCEANFRONT duplex is for you! This is an up/down duplex allowing for the preferred convenience of one level living, with this top level unit having 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Rent this unit, or for the perfect large family gathering, combine this unit with our other lower unit, VRBO #474865 listing, for a total of 8 BEDROOMS.

There are five TVs, and high speed WiFi! The living room has a large flat screen TV with premium cable service and a DVD (Blu Ray) player. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV streaming Netflix. The kids and teenagers will enjoy the bunk/futon bedroom configuration, especially when they can retreat to their own room which also has a DVD (Blue Ray) player. Make sure you keep one of the two beautiful ocean front bedrooms for yourself.

This unit has a full length front deck with marsh views, and a full length oceanfront back deck, so you can enjoy all that Holden Beach has to offer. A boardwalk right from your back deck takes you over the dunes to the ocean’s edge. You can also relax in the open air ground level common area where you will find casual wicker furniture and a charcoal grill. ENJOY!

Great family house layout

The property is wonderful for a family getaway. The layout with a full bath between bedrooms is perfect. The house was reasonably quiet, and lots of available outdoor sitting.

Such a great cottage and it met all our expectations and more. We arrived to special treats as a welcome and found all the necessities of home. The decks were comfy and the rocking chairs welcoming. Happy on Holden!

We had a girls week - just three of us and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Everything from the house, the accommodations, the beach and the surroundings were perfect. Robert and Ellen couldn’t have been any more accommodating and we enjoyed spending the week with them occupying the lower level. We can’t wait to go back!!

The location of this property is ideal for getting around at Holden Beach. Great experience because a turtle nest hatched right on the beach at the property. Convenient to get to the beach, lay out on the beach, and fish off the shore. We want to keep enjoying our vacation at this beach property!

Beautiful view and the property owner was awesome to work with! Wine and crackers when we arrived. Property needs a few updates in kitchen which would definitely make it a 5 star property.

Thank you for your review, and also for your clarification of your comment about the property needing a few upgrades in the kitchen, of being a suggestion to upgraded cupboards and countertop. Our kitchen is quite well equipped with stainless steel appliances, many smaller appliances, dishware, cutlery, pots and pans …. so I am glad you were not referring to those items. Yes, we do not have granite countertops or fancy cupboards, however the pictures in the listing are representative of our property. I do like your suggestion of raising our prices to cover the cost of such a renovation 😊, however we really do try to provide a family friendly place that is affordable, and hopefully our pricing reflects that. Beach Getaway

We had a great time at Holden Beach. Robert was very quick to respond to my questions. The place was clean and comfortable. The beach was amazing and being there in mid-September, it was quiet and relaxing. One suggestion I would make is to replace the current old charcoal grill with a gas grill.

I am so glad you had a great time. I understand your preference towards a gas grill - when we replace the grill every 2-3 years we try to decide between charcoal and gas, but find most of our guests prefer the big barrel type charcoal grill - so charcoal it is.

SUNRISE-UP was the BEST

Wonderful vacation rental only steps to the beach and surf. Interior was nicely furnished and had everything a renter would need for comfort and entertainment. Very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all meal prep items and appliances. Two balconies provided wonderful views of the beach and surrounding areas. Over-flights by the daily pelican "train" was neat. We would recommend this rental to anyone - had a great vacation experience staying at this beach house. April 2025
