Unfortunately, this guest was extremely difficult from the moment the reservation was made, including numerous back-to-back calls at all hours regarding minor questions months before check-in. We nevertheless made every effort to accommodate and assist them throughout their reservation. The comments regarding the air conditioning are misleading. The property’s AC setup, including the bedroom units and fans throughout the home, is accurately shown in the listing photos and described in the amenities. Central air conditioning was never advertised. There was also, in fact, a temporary electrical outage during their stay. We communicated with the guest and power was restored within approximately 30 minutes. Their claim regarding the cause of the outage is not accurate as it effected the entire block of apartment homes. We understand that not every property will be the right fit for every guest, but it is disappointing to see circumstances misrepresented in a public review. We encourage future guests to carefully review the listing, photos, and advertised amenities before booking, as they accurately represent what is provided.

While I respect every guest’s right to share their experience, I would like to clarify several points for future travelers. Many of the complaints raised involved expectations and items that were never advertised or included with the rental. For example, the guests complained that the refrigerator was not stocked with groceries such as milk, butter, and other food items, despite the listing never stating that groceries would be provided. They also expected daily housekeeping service, which is not offered and is not advertised anywhere in the listing. The property was professionally cleaned prior to arrival. When concerns were reported, they were addressed promptly and additional assistance was offered. The guests also reported safety concerns to VRBO, resulting in a formal review of the property. After investigating, VRBO found the property to be safe and took no action against the listing. Finally, this home is not advertised as wheelchair accessible or ADA compliant. The layout, photographs, and description accurately disclose the property’s features! Guests are encouraged to carefully review the listing details before booking to ensure the property meets their individual needs and expectations.
