We made a reservation in January for this property one night before our stay at Sandpoint. Then the fires started up and we reached out to the host on Monday before our Saturday Aug 8th stay. We repeatedly asked to cancel and refund our reservation due to "Unhealthy" levels of air quality. People were leaving the city not going there for a vacation. We suggested offering the home to rent to the 70,000 people who were being evacuated, the host seemed not to be interested in doing the right thing. We were able to get a full refund on the lake house but I feel this host was not reasonable with the situation. It also appears this property does not even have a short term rental permit. VRBO did offer a credit but I don't live in the US and will not be able to use the credit, so I am out 200. It is a shame and beware of unreasonable hosts.

The newer build was a good fit for our family of 5. Easy location to get on hwy and adventure from. Beds were made up nicely. Housekeeping needs work. Floors were dirty. Not enough towels even though there’s a washer and dryer. Old food was left in frig and appliances still had chicken bits in the air fryer and micro was dirty.
