Lovely Home in Sullivan
Our family of 10 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Sullivan. The location was perfect, tucked away on a quiet road with beautiful views, making it a peaceful place to come back to after busy days exploring Acadia National Park.
The house itself was spacious and comfortably accommodated our entire group. Having plenty of bedrooms meant everyone had their own space, and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals together. We also appreciated the generous supply of towels and toiletries, which made settling in even easier.
One of our favorite aspects was the history of the home. Knowing it was built in 1910 gave it so much character and charm while still providing all the modern conveniences we needed.
The only surprise during our stay was that there was some construction taking place on the property. It would have been nice to have a heads-up before arriving. That said, the workers were incredibly friendly and respectful, and the noise was minimal, so it never significantly impacted our stay.
Overall, this was an excellent home for a large family gathering, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, charming home base for exploring Downeast Maine and Acadia.

We are so happy to hear that this older home with it character but still modern updates met your families needs during a recent stay at Acadia Lights Cottage. We were sorry to hear that construction was ongoing while you were here but glad the interruption was minimal. We look forward to hosting you again when you find yourself staying in the Sullivan area.

Lovely house
Beautiful, comfortable, historic house. We stayed for 3 nights and trekked into Bar Harbor and Acadia. It would be a nice place to stay for a chill getaway/friend/family. Lots of communal space. Fresh flowers on the porch were a lovely touch. My ten year loved playing hide and seek, lots of places to hide here!

Incredible vacation stay for a big group!
We had a great long weekend stay for a friend group, the Vacasa team was super responsive to our needs and the house was spotless. Fully stocked kitchen, great bathrooms, very spacious common spaces. Within an hour drive to Acadia and the house is on the road close to the oceanfront.
The house is spacious and welcoming. Many amenities are provided, and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Beautiful waterviews and lovely breezes on the commodious front porch. Great location to access two parts of Acadia National Park - on Mount Desert Island and also at Schoodic Point. Handy dine-in/takeout restaurant featuring fresh seafood within walking distance.
The home was lovely, plenty of space for a large family. We enjoyed the view of the water and mountains in the front porch. The kitchen was well equipped. Some of the beds were very uncomfortable and the house had no black out curtains, which made it difficult to sleep after 4am.

Beautiful house in spectacular Maine
Loved the house and the view from the front porch. Found out after we got there that the lake is not accessible from this house. It is in another person's property. The house is very well equipped for a large group (we were 9).
