The house was incredible! Plenty of space, and the host was so thoughtful with all of the items they had stocked as well as suggestions for what to do in the area. Our family was able to enjoy a wonderful weekend vacation, we can’t wait to come back!
We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The lodge/house was impeccable and the Host was fantastic. She was very communicative and easy to respond to any email. She is a 5 star host. We had 17 here and the house slept all of us very comfortably and it was great that we could go out the back door and hike to Jordan Pond. I highly recommend, highly recommend this place for any large families such as ours to stay at. You will not be disappointed at all.
We were so fortunate to have been able to stay for a few days. Every detail was so thoughtfully taken care of. A sweet surprise was the beach chairs that we took to sand beach. The house is immaculate, and the beds so comfortable. My son even took a picture of the pillow because he want to buy the same one now. The location next to the park meant that we could just hop on our bikes and go spend that day in Acadia with out a needing a car. 100% would stay again. Thank you Jen for being such a great host and for sharing the guidebook- we used that daily since this was our first time visiting Maine.
It is an excellent upscale place! So many cool details in the design , you walk like in a museum. It actually can accommodate 18 people , even has a table that fits everyone! House has everything you might need.. beautiful porch for Am and PM coffee. Nice quiet neighborhood. Great location. Has a huge and great basement floor with a refrigerator, a bedroom with 8 beds, games for all the kids. We didn’t hear our kids in the house. Just one of the kind.
What a location! Walk through the back yard and onto the quiet network of carriage trails in Acadia NP! The first night we walked to Jordan pond for sunset. The next day I jogged around Day mountain with amazing views. The last day I jogged to Little Long Pond. The carriage trails nearby are quiet and magical, with moss and critters! Plus it’s basically woods behind you. I also liked being in the middle of MDI… made excursions quick. And away from the mess of Bar Harbor. And the house… have not stayed at a better stocked VRBO *ever*! Every tool you could think of in the kitchen. Every product you’d need (full shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, plus random things like foil and tissues). A throw for every person on the sofa, and tons of extra bedding. The beds were fantastic with really comfortable bedding choices (cotton sheets, thermal blankets plus thick quilts), and the place was so beautifully and tastefully decorated. Also appreciated the black out curtains with the early sunrise in summer. The host was incredibly responsive and kind. So 10/10, it’s a great choice!
