As an interior designer from the San Francisco Penninsula, I bought the Stanford house as a getaway home in 2015. This charming 1950’s retro rancher still hosts my 3 children and their families on occasion when they want to stroll into town for a day of shopping, wine tasting and a slice of Gold Dust Pizza. I now live in nearby Plymouth and so happy to share our house with others. A place where you feel like you’re in the country with only a short walk to enjoy the charm and history of Sutter Creek. I have been told the house has “a nice soul” so I hope you think so too.

Why they chose this property

This quiet little street is tucked away in a secure tight-knit neighborhood. There is only one immediate neighbor, providing extra peace and privacy. I most enjoy waking up to the serene sounds of nature, with grazing cows on the hillside, a friendly neighborhood horse often spotted across the lane, and a beautiful buck frequently caught enjoying Italian plums right from the backyard tree.

What makes this property unique

The house is great for 2 couples featuring 2 private bedroom suites. On one side the suite offers a walk-in closet, and is off living room featuring a fireplace stove and private entrance, The 2nd bedroom enjoys a fireplace stove and sunroom with private entrance. Nearby is the bathtub/shower and kitchen. Between these spaces is the entry and laundry room. A double bed is available in the third bedroom off the kitchen and is perfect for a child or 5th adult. For long term stays it can be converted to a 2nd TV room or an office and a perfect shared space for traveling nurses.
