It was a perfect location to enjoy the ocean views, the lighthouse, the pine trees, the rocky coasts. The cottage was cozy and comfortable for relaxing in the evenings. I hated to leave. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable and relaxing. We would love to come back!
We had a wonderful time in the Lighthouse Cottage. Laura, the property manager, was so helpful & very responsive to our questions. The cottage was on a private road so we were able to walk the dog or just take a stroll on our own and see the ocean and chat with the friendly neighbors. The Seagull Cafe & Shop was so handy to have just a few steps away for good food, great wait staff and fun items to purchase. I would highly recommend this cottage for your getaway in Maine.
Pictures do not do this property justice! We so enjoyed our stay! Location was fabulous and we felt so comfortable we didn’t want to leave!! We will definitely be back!!
We had a great time - loved the location letting kids run down to the ice cream shop. The only bummer was no washer and dryer or clothes line - tough to get clothes and towels dry.

We are so happy you had a great time and we were thrilled to have you!
Unfortunately, our cottage does not have a W/D. We do indicate this on our VRBO listing and on the amenity page and apologize for any inconvenience it caused.
We hope you will be able to return in the future.
Thank you again for visiting!
A charming house in a wonderful location. This classic Maine cottage was a lovely place to spend a week. Excellent restaurants within a walk or easy drive, lovely hiking and beautiful paddling. I only wish that they would trade the double bed for a queen - then it would be perfect.

Thank you so much for visiting! If we could squeeze in a Queen bed, we would. We will try to work on that. We hope you can visit in the future.
My husband and i enjoyed our stay at this quaint cottage. The area is very beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed exploring an area of Maine that was new to us. We were comfortable and everything as expected. Owner was very nice and responsive.
Loved staying in this very special cottage by the sea, particularly our evening walks to the lighthouse. Great spot for the dog and easy access to the Seagull restaurant. Communication with Laura was great! Very tough to leave after such a lovely week.
This property is nicely located near scenic walking trails and the beautiful Pemaquid Lighthouse and property. Meals at the Seagull Restaurant, just a short walk away, were always delicious.
The cottage is a traditional Maine cottage with nice furnishings, a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, and lots of extra touches. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at the cottage. It’s a lovely little place with so much charm. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were going back in time. It was very quiet and clean. We enjoyed the area very much and will certainly return again. Thank you for allowing us to be part of this wonderful little place called Pemiquid Point. Rebeccah
Another great stay at this charming cottage at an idyllic spot in mid-coast Maine. The owners are helpful, organized, and have everything ready to go. Thank you again!!
I thoroughly enjoy my stay here - this was my second summer visit. Inside it is delightful with anything you might need, provided. Tidy, neat, and clean. It is very green and overgrown around the sides and back of the cottage, making it very private. The front porch and steps need some paint, but they are a nice addition for sitting and enjoying the outside. The wifi and TV were great for inside time. The loop walk is terrific, and people are friendly.
We had a wonderful week at the lighthouse cottage. There are several nice restaurants we enjoyed, and the kitchen had all we needed when we ate at home.
We are planning on returning again and again,

It was fine. The weather was really nice. The cabin is a perfect example of Maine, the knotty pine is so Maine. My only suggestion would be provide something other than just the fireplace. I was not comfortable using the fireplace as I was in and a lot and did not want to leave it unattended. The mornings were chilly and something to take the chill off would be great.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your time on Pemaquid Point while staying at Lighthouse Cottage.
We supply 3 electric heaters to make the cottage toasty warm should there be a cool day or evening.
I apologize that you did not see them. We will be sure to make them more visible, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Cannot say enough good things about our stay. It was everything you would want in a Maine vacation. The place is a rustic roomy cottage. My wife and I felt at home the minute we walked in. Nice that we could bring our dog too. Highly recommend the place. Would love to return next year. And Laura is also fantastic, a great host. Great communication. Great place, great vacation.
Our first time renting a home and we had a great time. Communication with Laura was excellent and a minor issue quickly became a non issue.
The cottage is indeed rustic but that isn’t a bad thing, just good to know. It’s a popular location with the lighthouse (go watch the sunsets) and Seagull restaurant (excellent meals) so close but it was never noisy or intrusive.
Found everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of clean linens. We enjoyed the fireplace and having our dog along for the week. Lots of dog walks along the beautiful Pemaquid Loop and Cliff roads.

We are so pleased you had a great time and enjoyed the cottage amenities and the beauty of the area.
We have lots of photos showing the entirety of the cottage (both inside and out) so guests can accurately picture what it will be like to stay at "Lighthouse Cottage" which is one of the original 1920's charming cottages on Pemaquid Point which are dearly loved by so many.
Thank you again for visiting and we hope you will be able to return in the future.
Great location, a typical Maine cottage whose decor makes you feel the comforts of coming home. We lived in Maine for 16 years and came back to visit friends. The thing that makes this such a good place to stay is that you are a short walk to the most photographed Pemaquid Lighthouse & to delicious meals from the Sea Gull Restaurant. Laura, our host, was helpful and provided everything you would need. We used both heaters & fans. Weather varied from 50 degrees at night to 80 degrees in the daytime. We travelled with our golden retriever and enjoyed many walks around the loop . Cottage is small yet we had plenty of room for 2 adults. No washer or dryer yet that was not a negative for a 7 day stay. It was an easy & comfortable stay. We would certainly stay there again next time we are in Maine. Thank you Laura!
This was the fourth trip my wife and I (70s) have made to Pemaquid Point. The cottage was just right for us: all on one floor, close to the lighthouse, and close to great scenic walks and a wonderful restaurant. Also, there are many other interesting things to visit in the area. The cottage has everything you could need in the kitchen and is very comfortable.
Wonderful location by Pemaquid Point lighthouse. Enjoyed the balmy sea air from the front porch and the short walk to the lighthouse park. We even caught a local band/orchestra playing there one evening! Would definitely return.😊The owner was responsive and the cottage had everything we needed. Great location for exploring mid-coast Maine!
Our family of four and furry pup had a wonderful week in this cottage. Communication with Laura both before and during the stay was seamless though her emails kept getting to sent to my unmonitored spam folder (sorry about that!). The cottage itself was very homey and clean with all of the basic toiletries, linens, and kitchen needs (paper products, spices, drinking water, coffee with filters, a bag of ice, etc) provided. Strong wifi signal, good water pressure and enough hot water for a few back-to-back showers. We also appreciated the beach chairs found on the back porch as we had not brought our own. Though we visited during a very hot week, the cottage managed to stay cool with open windows and a fan in every room. The location is fabulous with access to the Pemaquid Lighthouse for picnic dinners, brunch at the Seagull restaurant, and easy access down the steps behind the restaurant to relax on the rocks and watch the wildlife on the water. We hope to return again next year!
The cottage and environment were described accurately and we were pleased. It was restful and provided just what we needed.
Laura is an amazing host. Job well done.
