! CARRE D'OR - Place Massena, This lovely flat equipped and decorated as a "SUITE " with high standard, is in mezzanine style, (180cm) it's bright and light and in a great location - right on Place Massena, a MONOP mini market is just located in front of the building's door, where you'll find 7/7 days, from 8:30am to midnight all the products you need. The apartment is very quiet!-very nice (courtyard at the back of the building) inside one of the prestigious red-coloured buildings bordering the square, a few minutes by foot from the Old Town and the sea (promenade des anglais). Directly on the pedestrian zone of Place Massena, full of restaurants and bars, but quiet with a balcony overlooking a courtyard with south west sunny exposition.
On entry you have a bright livingroom with sofa and armchair, full size FLAT LED TV and DVD (a selection of DVD films) - cable TV (including french and english channels BBC world news, BBC prime, SKY NEWS, CNN) and free WIFI internet access - there is a fully equipped American Kitchen.
Upstairs in the mezzanine area (180 cm high - not suitable for very tall or very large people)- with beans, there is a comfy double bed, with a shower room.
The flat welcome a maximum of 2 guests but a baby can be welcome too (baby cot available on demand). Linen and towels are provided.
Ask for long stay, it's possible. Change overdays are flexibles.

Perfect spot in Nice

We had a very warm welcome and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is compact but perfect for a short stay. Easy to walk to Shops, old Nice and the Cours Selaya and for everything there's the Tram.

Fantastic location

Things to know that are already in other reviews - you will have stairs even if you take the elevator and the beams are a thing - also the entire upstairs is low - to be fair I am 6’2” and I couldn’t stand upright in the shower or bedroom, but I still give it 5 stars - location is fantastic and the host is so kind and helpful!

It was clean, quiet, and safe. In a lovely neighborhood too! Can’t say enough about the location or the very responsive manager. If we are lucky enough to get back to Nice, we would love to stay again.

Terrific location. Can’t do better. Right on the main square and minutes to old town and the beach. Also right by a major shopping street. The apartment was clean and well furnished. As mentioned if you are tall the ceiling in the loft bedroom is low. No problem for us. Can’t say enough good things about Nora who met us to check us in. She was sweet friendly and accommodating. Would definitely rebook.

Perfect Location ,Just Wonderful

Nice is a fabulous place to visit & this appartment is in the heart of the city. Easy walking distance to all the city has to offer. Nora our host was really lovely & the flat itself was perfect for a few nights break.

Place Massena in March

Lovely little apartment for 2 people. Absolutely central location within a 5 minute walk of nearly everything. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to any couple looking to enjoy Nice.

Quiet apartment in great location, right on one of the main beautiful squares in Nice, Place Masséna. As per apartment description, upstairs on the mezzanine, ceiling is low, so best avoid if you are tall.

Quite/Great location

Tgis turned out to be a great little spot on the edge of the old part of Nice, affordable and surprising quite for its location, we heard no street noise. A notable is the bed area has a low ceilings, so if I was more than 6' it wouldn't be comfortable having to slouch and stoop if I was.

Tour de France Finale

Check in was lovely with Nora. She was very accommodating while we tried to get to the location through all the traffic and closures of the Tour de France. Location, location location! We were in the heart of it all. Close to restaurants, the beach and shops. The loft floor was fine for us, we're 5'9(176cm) and 6ft (183 cm).

Great place, but dangerous beams overhead!

Everything was super- the cleanliness, appointments, comfy bed, location, hosts. I knew all about the beams from the reviews and thought it wouldn’t be a problem. But it was. So sorry to say anything negative! Just so dangerous. The steps to the loft were kind of scary too, to me. Very tiny apartment and little room for bags, and really had to squeeze to get out of bed on one side, all the while avoiding the beam. Enjoy all the amenities, but beware!

Lovely location and more

Nora, who greeted us at the property, was fantastic in explaining everything we needed to know. She gave us (fridge) some waters, much needed after a long days travel, and tips to enjoy our stay. We only had a short (2night) visit but thoroughly enjoyed Nice and were rewarded with sun on our 2nd day, which aided in the relishing of the town. As was clearly indicated, so we were prepared, there are low beams upstairs/ in the bath. This did not at all impede on our enjoyment but if you are tall, I can imagine this might be a problem. The location was PERFECT and we stopped in and out on our expeditions— so convenient Lastly, the mattress was so comfortable that my husband pulled back the sheets the morning we left so he could buy one for our home, lol Check out was a breeze. Merci beaucoup!

Toller Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt in dem Apartment. Es ist wirklich sehr schön, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Größere Personen sollten in der oberen Etage, aufgrund der Balken, etwas Vorsicht sein, aber das ist kein Problem. Besonders erfreulich war der nette Empfang und die Schlüsselübergabe. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

A fine little flat

We enjoyed staying in the flet. The only problem was that we were too tall. In the sleeping compartment and in the bathroom there are old and big tree trunks in the ceiling which made it difficult to move around. To us the furniture was very low. But we are elderly people and above 1,82 m. To people younger and smaller than us it will be a great apartment. Fantastic situated.

Fantastic Location for our first visit to Nice

The apartment was in the best location possible for our first visit to Nice. It is in the centrally located Massena place where the buildings are all the same color which makes it easy to find. A nespresso shop right next door and all of the restaurants you could possibly want yet the apartment is nice and quiet. Like your private oasis but when you step outside there is everything you could want. We purchased food at the monoprix and were able to have our own meals. The tram comes down the steet you are on to take you where you want to go. Although walking is also very easy. The walk to the beaches is very close and the walk to Castle Hill offers some amazing views. The apartment was comfortable and clean, the air conditioning worked well and it was outfitted very well. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone visiting. There is one challenge in that there are beams in the bathroom and bedroom that run across the ceiling that required you to bend down. My husband hit his head in the night when getting up. It is a minor inconvenience but maybe something to consider if you are tall.
