This property is pretty spacious w/ a large bedroom, decent sized living room and small kitchen. The living room and dining area furniture are not very functional, just look neat. The wrap around balcony is awesome, we sat looking at the mountains each night we were there. The furniture on the patio is the most comfortable in the place. The hustle and bustle below us w/ the restaurant and lounge did not bother us. I can see it bothering some along w/ the street noise. It's a great location and a short walk to the downtown area. I'd go w/ 5 star but, we are pretty sure lava lamp was switched out our 2nd day w /a non-working one (that tied into our code for the door not working after returning from our daytime activities) hmmm??? We had no problem getting help when we needed.
I'd suggest to management to find a different floor cleaner. The tile floor was slimy (for lack of better terms).
We would stay here again and I'm sure most who stay here would enjoy it. Pool and jacuzzi looked pretty inviting (we just didn't have time for it).
We had a great stay at The Twist. The wrap around deck on our unit was large with fantastic views. Pool and spa area was very nice. Great location.

Great location
I love this place. It was perfect for my family. My two year old absolutely loved time spent at the pool! We went 2 times each day. They had awesome pool floaties and other toys which was great for our family. Walking distance to down town Palm Springs. The tiki bar below our suite was a little bothersome at night— they have this giant drum that people insisted on banging, which woke and kept us up. We would have loved it before we had our kid!! We understand that the night life definitely comes with the prime location though. Overall we will be staying here again! Wonderful place.

Great Location and condo building
This condo was one of the nicest ones we've rented. We enjoyed the big spacious bedroom and extra large patio and pool and hot tub area. We also liked the central location as we'd walk downtown to dine out every night. And free parking is a nice perk too!
Cons: Location of this unit is on the corner on a major road and above a bar so the noise level is pretty constant and high so it was hard to enjoy the patio. It didn't prevent us from sleeping though. But have earplugs handy in case it bothers you. The decor is very nice but not functional. The couch is very uncomfortable and there's no good lighting above the kitchen table. Kitchen table chairs are also uncomfortable. The kitchen is functional but tiny. Suggestion to management: add hooks for coats by the front door and in the bathroom for towels, bathing suits etc. and replace the toilet paper holder, it's loose.

We loved it, but not great for a light sleeper
We were there in early December for 9 nights. For our purposes it was almost perfect. The wrap around balcony was a big factor in picking this unit, and we thought it was worthwhile. Provided more privacy, and the morning sun rose off the corner of the balcony providing a perfect place to start the day with coffee and breakfast with a mountain view. The unit is a good size, with an oversized bed and really soft sheets. The furniture in the living area is however uncomfortable and the lighting placement makes it difficult for reading unless using an e-reader. This wasn't a big factor as we didn't use that area much. The kitchen is a little small for two people to move around, but for breakfast and lunches it worked ok. The pool area is nice, but shade can be at a premium if it gets crowded, though it rarely did when we were there. Parking was ample in the back lot. Hauling groceries and luggage is shorter using the entrance by the pool if street parking is available. Our main dislike was the noise. Street noise is considerable even in the wee hours of the morning. The ambulance and air ambulance from the hospital a block away weren't frequent, but added to the noise. Most bizarre was the almost nightly noise coming from below at 3 or 4 am. Not too loud, but if another noise woke me, this noise made it difficult to get back to sleep. There also seems to be some tradition of banging on pipes late at night. Might be passerby's on the street banging the street art. We're retired, on "vacation", and didn't care too much about not getting a great rest. Light sleepers and those that need a good nights rest might want to look for something quieter. Location was nice not just for the mountain views, but there were restaurants within half a mile, with the main area of restaurants and shops being a mile away. The street to that area is flat with good sidewalks so we walked a number of times. Parking in that area was never a problem either when we were there. There was also a free shuttle that goes downtown and stops a block away from the condo. It ran Thursday to Sunday every 15 minutes and was highly reliable. There's also regular bus service to downtown. We had one maintenance issue with a blind, that was fixed within a couple hours of reporting it. Onsite staff are easy to get a hold of, very pleasant, and helpful. The free bikes are nice for a ride around Old Las Palmas. Overall we loved the place and would recommend it to most people except light sleepe

Elegant, charming yet casual condo!
What an absolutely divine property. Artfully decorated, with an open concept living and dining area with a walkout to a fabulous balcony overlooking the street as well the mountains. Condo is in a dynamic location, walkable to dozens of restaurants and shops and the energy of Palm Springs. My husband I enjoyed our vacation there and wished we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the swimming pool at the end of every day. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly.

Great location, but noisy
Room 219 is likely the nicest room because it is private and has a large wrap around deck. The interior is nicely decorated, though, the couch is uncomfortable. The bed is comfy. The pool/hot tub are nice as well. The real problem with this unit is that it sits on the second floor above a coffee shop and a bar. Part of the wrap around deck fronts Palm Canyon Drive. It is always NOISY. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. The music played all night long. Even long after the bar should have been closed for the evening, we could hear the pounding/beat of the music. We surmised that the cleaning crew or the coffee shop crew kept the music on after the bar shut down. We also heard pounding like on a metal bar. We don't know why. If we could have gotten sleep, this place would have been great. The location is very nice and it is a short walk to Downtown Palm Springs and all of the shops/restaurants. The neighborhood, Old Las Palmas, is beautiful to walk/bike. Mark was helpful. Sadly, the lack of sleep colors this review.

We had a great time!
The linens and towels were super soft...not like your normal stiff hotel linens. The room was very aesthetically pleasing and the balcony was a major plus! There was a little mishap with the sleeping situation, but the owner gave us a partial refund for the inconvenience and one night free for future use before the end of summer.

Why they chose this property
Similar to all the homes in the neighborhood, this building has an illustrious past. Each home has a connection to a past or present celebrity; whether it be Johnny Weissmuller, Liz Taylor, Madonna…
Via Lola started as a whiskey stash for Al Capone in its cavernous basement during Prohibition. Later, Don the Beachcomber opened his famous restaurant and the Rat Pack became permanent fixtures at the bar, lounge and pool.
