Perfect accommodation in a wonderful location. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the children loved exploring the gardens. We all enjoyed spotting the rabbits in the early morning and relaxing on the patio listening to the bird song. Very close to beaches, perfect for splashing around and hunting crabs.
Sheelagh (the host) also provided us with some goodies for our stay which was a very generous touch.
Highly recommended!

Delighted that Melissa and her family enjoyed their holiday with us and truly appreciate the comments made in her review. They were exemplary guests who left the house in a clean and tidy condition. Looking forward to welcoming them back again some day!

Thank you for your review, Mike. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and that the weather was kind to you and your family.
Hope you will make a return visit some day!
The cottage is lovely and spacious, plenty of room for 8 people to live in without being on top of each other. It is quite secluded, surrounded by fields and about 20 minute drive to either Lose and Liskear. The roads are very narrow getting to and from the cottage and with lots of fog (in August!) it can make the driving challenging at times. There are some lovely coastal walks nearby. The owner Sheelagh is responsive by email and left the cottage in very good condition when we arrived.

We felt totally at home.
Lovely, rural, quiet location.
Everything we needed was there.
The perfect base for staying in East Cornwall

Thank you so much for your kind review - much appreciated. Thank you, too, for looking after the house and treating it with respect.
We sincerely hope to welcome you back again some day!
We had a fantastic two week stay at Frogmore. With 4 adults and 4 children there was plenty of space for us all. The location is amazing. Very close to lovely family friendly beaches, and other fun activities. We really liked Seaton beach the best. Sheelagh was the most helpful and responsive host I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From the start she was a pleasure to communicate with and responded very quickly to any queries or issues that we had both before and during our stay. She couldn’t have been more helpful. The cottage it’s self is very homely. The second living room was a great plus for the kids (and adults). It had all the facilities that we needed for an enjoyable stay. The welcome pack of food essentials and treats/ wine/beer was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Thanks for a great holiday!

In turn, you were lovely to deal with and we truly hope we can welcome you back one day again with the bonus of less rain!!
Warmest wishes, Sheelagh
This property had loads of room for us all and everything we needed. It was well maintained and the owner very friendly and welcoming in communication. Very close on coast path to a few beaches (Melendreath, Seaton (great beach cafe), Downderry, and Looe . Bit steep for cycling!!
My family and I had a really wonderful stay at Frogmore Cottage, after visiting the local villages and attractions it was just perfect getting back to the peace and quiet of the cottage.
We were so pleased to have found this beautiful location.

A pretty, spacious farmhouse surrounded by fields. Very peaceful, but plenty to do in the area.
Plenty of space with 4 good-sized bedrooms and 2 sitting areas. The garden is mostly grass but lots of small walls from previous demolished outbuildings that would be good for kids to play around. A lovely welcome tray of various goodies (many thanks, Sheelagh) and the house, furniture and bedding etc were all in good condition. 2 beaches within a mile or so via the coastal path, or a bit longer via some narrow roads with passing places. Looe is a 10-15 minute drive away (or about 1-1.5hrs via the coastal path). Would thoroughly recommend this house, and Sheelagh was most attentive and helpful - many thanks.

Thank you, Jörg, for your complimentary review - I managed to have a translation (!) and we sincerely appreciated your kind comments. In return, may I say it was a pleasure to have you and your friends and family stay - so pleased the 50th birthday party was such a success.
Many thanks for your calendar and the teapot soap - your home town appears to be the kind of place we would like to visit one of these days. In the meantime, may I wish you all well and hope to see you again in the not too distant future.

Charming, characterful, homely & well provided.
The cottage is set back from the road & well away from other places - good - but only about 5 minutes from the main road to Looe. It is a very well-appointed house, with all linen, utensils, condiments etc provided, giving us a really good week there, with peace, warmth & quiet. The nicest things, though were the little friendly touches; there was soap in the bathrooms, washing up liquid & dishwasher tablets, salt & pepper & lots of other little things of similar ilk that we'd brought [being used to the paucity of some other places] & didn't need. There was also a very much appreciated 'welcome pack' with lots of little Cornish 'goodies' in - a bit like Christmas in September. Lovely owners, too - if we hadn't managed to 'do' Cornwall [or as much as we wanted to, anyway] in an extremely fun & frenetic week, we'd come back like a shot; as it is, we'll have to wait a bit for all those glorious memories to fade slightly!

House was lovely with plenty of room for 5 adults & 3 kids.
Grounds were great for playing ball games & hide & seek. Serenaded by sheep & their lambs everyday. The farmer let our grandaughter bottle feed one of the lambs.
Some narrow & winding lanes to get to the house, but soon got the hang of it. Had a lovely walk to Blackrock Beach, though the walk back was all uphill!! Would like to visit again one day. Special thanks to Sheelagh for her help when we initially got lost looking for the house.

A really lovely house in a great quiet location
I stayed for a week with my two daughters and friends from up country with their young daughter.
I live in Wadebridge, about an hour away and near the north coast, and the location of Frogmore in a quiet, calm area on the south coast meant that it felt like a real get-away.
The north coast tends to be busier, louder and with more going on and definitely a lot more surfing opportunities in the summer, so if that's what you're after maybe look further north. That said it's only an hour away from the north coast.
For us this property was exactly what we wanted (despite the fact that myself and eldest daughter are keen surfers - but it's not ALL about surfing).
There's plenty to do within an hours drive, lots of tranquil beaches (Seaton Sands and Millendreath were our favorites), Looe has a lot to offer - plenty of good places to eat and crabbing off the sea wall, and Plymouth is only a short drive away if you want to remind yourself why you came on holiday.
Be prepared for delays and a bit of give and take driving along the VERY narrow lanes to and from the house especially on change-over Fridays and Saturdays.
The weather wasn't always great while we were there and Frogmore's location means it can be a bit windier than the beaches, but the facilities were excellent - two separate TV rooms so we could watch the Olympics while others were indulging in Peppa Pig - spacious, well equipped kitchen - very pleasant bedrooms and enough bathrooms and toilets for all eventualities.
The grounds are interesting and excellent for hide and seek, although our frisbee game was a little hindered by mole hills - actually they added to it.
When we arrived the WiFi code had not been left for us, but with a call to the owners this was rectified within the hour.
Would definitely recommend Frogmore to others and would stay there again

An amazing holiday home with spectacular views.
Beautiful clean home with everything you need. My children loved the gardens and enjoyed exploring them.
Lots of nearby attractions for all the family, and Looe harbour is a must on the list! The nearby Coddy Shack is a lovely fish and chip restaurant which is worth a try.
Overall a really good week away and we certainly will be returning.
