Our guests LOVE the 3 Season Screen Porch facing the Lake!

Merry Breeze 4 is a year round cottage with 212 feet of shared/private beach on a mile long sandy bay of Lake Michigan. A short jaunt will take you to the Sturgeon Bay light house and the Door County Land Trust Preserve, offering delightful walking trails. The lakefront is perfect for kayaks, windsurfing, swimming and sailing, with ease to launch your quiet water activities. Perfect for up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children!

Leave your cares behind. Bring your bicycles to enjoy a scenic, rustic, meandering ride or your kayak/canoe for a paddle around the shore. Read a book or take a snooze on the rope hammock. Our cottage has its own special charm nestled with woods behind and facing the water. You can relax to the sound and watch the waves as you become refreshed in this “get away from it all” retreat. Now with a newly added screened porch.

A COZY WINTER RETREAT! Admire the beauty of the frozen lake front, take a quiet walk in the woods, break out your snow shoes, build a snowman or simply snuggle in front of a fire. For winter reservations: To make preparations for a wintertime stay we ask for two weeks notice prior to a date request. Thank you!

The cottage offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms/sleeping for up to 4. (Nightly rates are for 2. Additional guest fees apply.) The master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bath with shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The second bathroom has a shower.

A full kitchen is well equipped to prepare the meals you’ll enjoy in the glass enclosed dining area. Or you may prefer to use the Weber grill and feast on the deck complete with picnic table and lounging chairs.

A short drive will take you to downtown Sturgeon Bay or to Door County’s many other quaint villages, whimsical shops, art galleries and restaurants.

Stayed at Merry Breeze 4 a couple of times. The place to stay if you like to take walks on the beach and experience the beauty of Door County, especially Lake Michigan. If you need to do some shopping Sturgeon Bay offers a variety of shops.

Merry Breeze 4 is our happy place in Door County. Peggy’s cottage is an absolute delight — cozy, welcoming, and perfectly located. It’s one of those rare gems you fall in love with and almost don’t want to tell anyone about… just so your favorite weekends stay available.

Merry Breeze 4 Cottage is great place to stay. We have been going for the past few years and love the location. The cottage is cozy, perfect for those cold winter nights and great a catching the gentle breeze off the lake.

Beautiful cabin in a serene setting

From the moment we arrived we knew it would be a wonderful getaway for us. From the beautiful well-appointed cottage to the picturesque scenery we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The fall foliage and the sounds of the lake made this a magical experience.

Peggy’s cabin is in the perfect place for a beach getaway in Door County. It was clean and well-maintained, with a nice screened in porch to sit on and listen to the waves. It is a great jumping off point for exploring the towns of Door County. We will be back!

Merry Breeze is just that, ... a breath of fresh air that takes us to our happy place. Great Location!

This cottage was the perfect location to explore Door County and then relax and unwind! Clean, comfy, cute, and a very well stocked cottage with beach access, benches and fire pit. S’mores on the shore! Great walking and short hikes on road, beach, and close by nature preserve. Easy drive to all that Door County has to offer. Would love to rebook on any future visits to the area!

Merry Breeze getaway

A great property in a quiet location provided a great stay for our first trip to Door County. Loved the screened in front porch and the firepit on the beach. Everything was a short drive away and we enjoyed coming back everynight away from the busy tourist sights. When we got the address it looked farther from the beach than we expected, but when we arrived it was truly just steps away. I would recommend this location and stay here again. Thanks Peggy for sharing this location with us.

Great Get Away

Highly recommend this property. We loved the screen in porch. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed to cook at “home” some days during our stay. We loved long walks on the beach. The cottage was charming! Very well appointed and comfortable. All of the comforts of home but in a beautiful setting! Close enough to enjoy the various communities but felt like we were in the country while at the cottage. Peggy provided detailed information and was quick to reply to my emails.

The cottage was exactly what we expected from the listing. Very cute & cozy in a beautiful & quiet location. Easy jump off spot for Door exploring but also far enough away from hustle of busier areas to enjoy some serious downtime. Beach/bay offers a true Lake Michigan experience. Screen porch a winner on our rainy day. Kitchen is extremely well stocked with cooking utensils although we ate out most of the time.

Incredible place to stay!

While not ON the beach, the cottage was just across the road in a cluster of other adorable cottages and there is a beautiful view through the picturesque tree-lined road of the water and the sun glinting off of it. The sound of waves lulled us to sleep each night and made the screened in porch (that faces the water) so relaxing. We saw deer, so many birds, and funny squirrels that kept us entertained--we never once felt the urge to watch TV in such a gorgeous setting. The cottage was perfect and had everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. If you enjoy sunrises, the ones here were incredible. Peggy was easy to reach for check in and checkout, and she graciously checked in via text to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this enchanting escape!

Sweet cottage near wild and beautiful Lake Michigan

Peggy was great to work with and available to answer questions. We loved the cozy cottage, perfect for two people. We admired the clever craftsmanship and efficient use of space. Especially appreciated the real wood fireplace—so romantic after a walk on the beach. Be aware that Merry Breeze 4 is the 3rd cabin in on one side of a small road with Lake Michigan on the other. There are nonetheless still great views of the lake with the lovely lulling waves the only sound we heard at night. The area is amazingly quiet despite being fairly densely populated. We slept great; a rarity on vacation for us.
