This spacious single story villa 1700 square feet, is the ideal base for families and golfing enthusiasts who want to make the most of their Florida vacation in comfort and security. The Golden Coral have two restaurants within 20 minutes, always good value for your money. Sonny's BBQ is very close by.

Beautiful House

The house was perfect. It matched the description and pictures online. The owners were helpful when contacted and quick to respond. The pool was a great addition that could be used anytime thanks to it being heated. Disney parks were only a 30 min to 45 min drive. Great location. Thanks for helping us make great holiday memories.

Lovely, cosy house, perfect for our holiday.

We were really pleased with the house and the layout was great. First time that there has ever been enough coat hangers and the safe was a bonus too. We would have barbecued more if we were allowed to do this by the pool, as opposed to having to cook on the drive or by the front door. We have stayed in a number of villas before and have never had to this. We also noticed that other residents did not abide by this rule. Otherwise a great holiday in a lovely house which would not hesitate to book again.

Great villa and location

Had a great 3 week stay at this lovely villa. Very spacious and clean. Southern Dunes is one of our favourite places to stay and in a great location for nearby eating/shopping and fairly close to parks (though I would recommend using 192 as I4 was constantly slow moving!) 10/10 or 5 stars!

Lovely Florida Villa Rental

If you are thinking of renting a Villa for your stay in Florida look no further than this not so little gem. From booking through to arriving and even afterwards the Host was always willing to answer any queries we had. The Villa is located in a quiet gated community and we never heard any other neighbours. All facilities within the Villa are top notch, especially the lovely Pool area. 10/10.

I love Southern Dunes and this villa was fantastic. Views on to 17th hole, and with supermarkets and restaurants minutes drive away, it ticked the boxes. We hired the villa for 4 weeks and there was everything you needed for your stay. The villa was lovely decorated and felt homely. The management company were easy to deal with from booking to checking out. I have been to Orlando for many years and I felt this was the best. Location straight down H27 to I4 for parks.

Southern Dunes

Sun all day on the deck with a great outlook over the golf course. Two minutes to the clubhouse & to a large Walmart. A small number of restaurants nearby mainly ribs and burgers but with one Mexican restaurant within five minutes. Golf course was in great condition. Villa was tidy and well stocked for plates, cutlery etc with plenty of outside furniture around the pool. Screened area over the pool and seating area allows you to sit out at night without any bugs to worry about. All in all a nice property.

Peaceful Location

The villa was lovely, in need of a bit of an update on a few things - the dining furniture had definitely seen better days, but nothing that impacted on our stay. The villa was a bit dark, presumably a good thing in the heat of the summer, it just means you have the lights on all the time. The hot tub and pool (which was heated) were fab, we used that loads after dealing with the traffic every day. We weren't interested in doing the parks, we were just after a chill out place and doing a bit of pre-christmas shopping - but were totally unprepared for the hell that the I-4 has turned into. How anyone copes with driving on it to get to work everyday I really don't know. Because of the traffic, I wouldn't recommend this as a good location to do the parks, despite the distance some days it was taking us an hour/ hour and a half to do the 20 miles into Orlando. Having said that, if you want a place just to chill, play golf and are prepared for the traffic, then the location is good. The communication with the owners/management was good, we were scheduled to leave thanksgiving day, so they allowed us to have a late checkout for no extra charge as we were unsure what would be open where we could hang out at prior to our flight home. It was lovely being able to make use of the hot tub and pool for a bit longer. Overall we had a good time, just didn't enjoy being stuck in traffic (no fault of the villa). Florida and it's people were lovely, so we will be back - just not to Orlando!

Excellent property in a lovely gated community

Beautifully decorated property with all amenities you'll need for a great holiday. The owner's communication beforehand was friendly and very helpful. We used to live in another house on the same street so it was great to return to this friendly gated community. For any golfers, we can highly recommend the course which was in pristine condition. We will very happily stay here again when we return to Southern Dunes.

Truly Excellent, No Faults

We have just returned from a 15 night stay, 5 adults from England and Scotland (May 2019). I have stayed on Southern Dunes numerous times and this is by far the best villa I have ever had. The furniture inside and out is modern, as are the TV's. The sun was on the deck all day long and it has a shaded area as well. The separate hot tub was a real treat. The pool is lovely and the pool area is quite private with hedges either side. Cannot fault the property in any way, would definitely book again.

Fabulous villa providing a wonderful base for our holiday.

Just returned from an amazing holiday. The villa was fantastic, had everything we needed. It was clean and spacious and our girls loved the pool after a long day at the parks, would have loved to spend more time there. Great facilities just outside the security gates, supermarkets and plenty of takeaways and places to eat just a short drive away (5mins) The Disney parks just a 30 minute drive away, SeaWorld 35 minutes and universal 40 as long as the traffic on the I4 isn't too bad, we found this the biggest problem but wouldn't stop us from returning. We had a few queries while we were there which was dealt with quickly by the management company. Southern Dunes Resort is lovely, it felt like a very friendly and safe place to stay. There is a great clubhouse which we ate at a few times. Overall, we would definitely recommend this villa. Thanks for a wonderful stay Kelly and Donnata x

The Perfect Villa

I can’t praise this villa highly enough. We arrived from the UK for a 2 week stay and the villa was everything and more we could have hoped for. It’s difficult to sum it all up in one review so in summary, great layout of villa, VERY well equipped, GREAT spacious pool area and hot tub a welcome bonus!. Lounge area really comfortable after a long day at the parks, good TVs with selection of channels (even shows UK premier league football (soccer) ) -All bedrooms well equipped and with 3 bathrooms, bathing/showering was quick. New and modern washer and dryer very good. We loved the kitchen and used the breakfast bar daily for breakfast. Fantastic provision of towels to use. Walking distance to Walmart, Winn Dixie and Dollar Tree. Great restaurants also very close by including Manny’s Chop House and Dora’s Pizza. All in all, a fabulous stay and we shall look no further if (when) we return to the area. Thank you for having us!!

Just as advertised

We have stayed on Southern Dunes many times over the past ten years, and this was one of the nicest properties we have rented. Exactly as advertised, location is great with an excellent golf course view and much of the property has been updated. Beds were very comfortable. The management company are located on Southern Dunes itself and were responsive and helpful when we did need their assistance. Would recommend to others.

Amazing Villa

We have just returned home after staying at this beautiful modern villa for 10 nights. Our stay was perfect from start to finish with no issues whatsoever. Great location with plenty amenities near by including huge Walmart and Publix. The villa is also walking distance to some nice family friendly restaurants. First class, modern family villa

Stayed here for 3 weeks in July 2016 and had an absolutely wonderful and stress-free stay. We've vacationed at Southern Dunes on a number of previous occasions and love the location. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping outlets within walking distance of this gated golf community, just 20 minutes from Disney, and a number of golf courses within a short drive. The villa has been recently modernised and is equipped to a very high standard, couldn't fault it. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues during our stay, both of which we're attended to promptly and efficiently by the management company. The owners (Kelly and Donnatta) were a pleasure to deal with providing us with all the information we needed in good time ahead of our stay and always happy to answer any questions we had. I have no hesitation recommending this villa to others who are looking for a quality villa from which to enjoy their Florida vacation.

Fantastic location

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Centrally located to everything. The kitchen was beyond fully equipped with items. Pool, hot tub and Pool table provided endless hours of entertainment for our kids. Owner and management company are extremely accessible when needed. We would highly recommend this house and will definitely be back!!

Would never rent it again

We arrived maintenance man was there fixing lights? We had to wait for him to leave when we first got there open The fridge was filthy. Had to clean that .in the master bedroom empty prescription boxes underneath the bed pull back The sheets were filthy. We had to take them and wash them Stains on them .pool was leaking water hot tub was leaking water had to add water every day light over patio wasn’t working very disappointed in the house paid for pool heat and the pool was very cold rented hoses down there for 20 years. This one was the worst never had a complaint about another house.

Property exactly as described and exceeded expectations

We almost didn’t book this house as there were only 2 of us travelling and we didn’t need the extra space. The description and pictures of the kitchen and large pool area sold us on it and we were not let down. The kitchen area was large enough to move around and prepare a meal and every imaginable appliance or amenity was available. Sadly we were only there a week so didn’t have opportunity to take advantage of all the homes offerings. The large pool deck area and hot tub were an added treat. The home location is ideal - Close to everything but far enough away from the commotion that comes With most Florida vacations - and yes you can walk to the grocery store or Walmart with little ease. We did have one question arise upon arrival despite Thinking I was contacting the management company I got an almost immediate reply from the home owner several states away. It was very much appreciated that they also contacted us with concerns regarding the impending weather - we are hopeful that hurricane Milton did not cause extensive damage to the property despite multiple days with no electricity. I’m sure there is much more I should mention in a review that I’ve overlooked - perhaps it is easiest to say that we would definitely recommend this property and have discussed the possibility of a return in 2025.

We are Coloradoans that love Florida sunshine! Our grandchildren love the home close to all the entertainment, with their own pool, learning to golf and making memories. So we understand the commitment to travel and want to make it as enjoyable for our guests as it is for us!

Why they chose this property

We reviewed homes in the Orlando area for a year and we wanted access to a Golf Community with all the amenities and that is highly rated and restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We wanted the security of the gated community that is manned 24 hours. The pool has a view of the 17th Fairway on a top rated golf course which is an awesome view especially with no rear neighbors.

What makes this property unique

Home is all one level - no stairs to carry luggage:) no neighbors on back or side of pool - very private. Close to Orlando entertainment but also 90 minutes to beaches - coastal or gulf.
