Journeys End is a very relaxing stay. We have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed our stay. The location is very peaceful and relatively private with a small neighborhood in the area of the home, but the people in the neighborhood are also very friendly and are a pleasure to meet. The sound of the Doe River makes sleeping that much better.
This is the perfect mountain getaway. The back patio that overlooks the Doe River is magnificent. We spent every morning out back and ended each evening there also. The house is well-appointed, providing everything needed for a wonderful vacation and a restful and relaxing experience. Highly recommend this amazing place.
Everything was clean and well organized. This is our third year there and it seems to get better every year! We plan on staying at this place every year when we come to Elizabethton!
The place was beautiful…decorated in fishing motif. The place had all the equipment one would need. The porch overlooked the Doe River! All in all…a pleasant stay. I’d do it again!
We came to this area to attend the NASCAR Race at Bristol and had the opportunity of staying here. The listing is accurate as this house was perfect for our stay! The house was clean, well stocked and decorated so beautifully! It sits on the Doe river and we spent hours just enjoying the river and watching the wildlife. Very peaceful and serene.Thank you, Diane and Richard for a wonderful stay! We will definitely return in the future!
We loved our stay! The property is wonderful and the location is spectacular. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We look forward to coming back!
Step 1: check Journey’s End’s availability. Step 2: check your calendarStep 3: book it before I doStep 4: there is no step 4. Just pack your stuff and go. I have just become your best friend.
The house was amazing! The views were gorgeous and the house had every amenity we could have possibly wanted, including firewood. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
Really enjoyed staying at Journey’s End! Home was very clean, well furnished and comfortable for our recent family trip to Doe River. Would stay again!
Everything was great, had everything we needed. We knew that going in December it would be chilly but the home was very cozy. Beautiful deck to enjoy the river.
This is a very nice, clean, well-kept property. It is an older home that has been redecorated. It is located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood but a comfortably distance from neighboring homes at the end of a road. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped. The beds are firm but comfortable. Both bathrooms are well supplied and clean. The home has a large covered deck that is just steps away from the banks of the Doe river, which provides relaxing background sound when the windows are open. The host is gracious and welcoming. Overall, this is an wonderful property.

Why they chose this property
The Doe River in Tennessee is one of the cleanest rivers in the United States. Trout is stocked regularly, both rainbow and brown trout. Doe River is also great bass fishing. The property is close to Watagua Lake, Laurel Falls and numerous other hiking destinations. Antique shopping close by as well as Bristol Speedway
What makes this property unique
The best part of this home is the river in your back yard. Over 400 ft of river right out your back door. We are located near downtown Elizabethton with restaurants and shopping while very close to nature and very private.
