The house is cozy and comfortable and in a scenic spot by the river. Jolie was very responsive and helpful with my email inquiries. We really enjoyed our time here.

We're glad you enjoyed your visit and hope you'll come back and visit us again soon.
The house was clean. Location on the river was nice. The property owner was responsive. I love this resort. We did a last minute booking for a weekend getaway. This property has a lot of potential. Improvements to the landscaping would help. Also, the house and deck needed pressure washing.

We hope you enjoyed your stay. We were able to pressure wash and touch up the paint on the deck after your visit. Sorry it couldn't be scheduled before your stay.
Nice although modest house and great location on the river but on a busy road with lots of loud pickup trucks. Gated community is a mix of RVs and houses. Also the SUPs and inflatable boat were not on site as described.
The house was so lovely and clean! Ellijay is the cutest town. I felt like I was in Europe. Vineyards, wineries, apple orchards, mountains, rivers… all with a small town, hospitable feel. Definitely recommend!
Really appreciate the use of the cottage - Jolie & husband (sorry I don't remember his name) were great answering questions for me quickly. We love the Ellijay area
This is a nice home along the Coosawatee River. The view of the river was peaceful, and each evening a herd of deer came out to graze on the other side of the river. My only negative is how loud the traffic was in front of the home. There is a 4-way stop just past the driveway, and the vehicle noise was pretty much constant. In addition, there was construction vehicles during the week, and most of the work was near the stop signs. Twice, the construction vehicles were right in front of the house, which detracted from the peacefulness of being on the river. Jolie, the property owner, was very nice. I appreciated that the home was well stocked with good-quality items.

Unfortunately, there was heavier than normal traffic due to spring break and the temporary construction from the power company putting their lines underground. This is not the norm and the construction has moved on from in front of the house. I'm glad you enjoyed the home and the well-appointed kitchen.
The property is in a gated community that requires contact with security either in person or by intercom. That’s a good thing. However, security requires a property code if you arrive after the guard has left - that took me by surprise as no details of that nature were given in the check in instructions. But I gave the property address and security was helpful and gave me the code.
The property is not far from the entrance and the directions were spot on. I’m not proud of it but I tend to judge VRBO properties by the landscaping - there was none so I was feeling a little apprehensive. But that changed as soon as we walked in.
The house was comfortable with the bedrooms on opposite sides of the living area. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in. The back deck overlooks the river and provided a nice space for some quiet time. There was plenty of firewood underneath the deck for the fire pit, which was close to the river. We loved watching the fire listening to the river. There were even stairs from the fire pit area down to a little fishing spot at the river’s edge.
My only complaint is with the windows from the living area to the deck and river. They are cloudy which hampered the view. But that’s not enough to drop a star.
Overall, I would stay there again!
The home was absolutely lovely and so serene. The kitchen was extensively outfitted with everything you might need and the house had lots of thoughtful touches. It’s conveniently located to downtown Elijay, shopping and nearby trails.
This was an awesome rental for my wife’s 30th birthday. The house was very cozy and the deck overlooking the river was a nice treat. Our two dogs loved being able to run around the yard and in/out of the river. We will be looking to rent this house on our visit back!

We are so happy you had a great stay for your wife's birthday and look forward to a future stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. The river beside the cabin was so peaceful. The cabin was just a few miles from Ellijay. The cabin was so nice. The property manager was so nice. She called us when we got there and we called to ask her a question and she was very helpful. Wonderful family vacation. The Hudson’s

GOOD PLACE TO SLEEP
We tubed all weekend. It was convenient. Was initially disappointed over the lack of paddle boards and tubes but Dollar General is 40 minutes away. Don't count on amenities because they are redneck.
Such a lovely little piece of paradise! Wonderful location close to everything you need. Hosts are great people with a love of nature. We highly recommend the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway ride which is about a 20 minute drive away. We booked again for October as we love the location so much!
We enjoyed our stay, very peaceful! We had an issue that Jolie was very responsive to on the first night, resolved quickly. Beds are super comfortable! We loved sitting by the creek that runs alongside the property. The deck was perfect to gather on and observe the wildlife.
Very relaxing, tubing, fishing, rock collecting, swimming, pet friendly
We really enjoyed our long stay. The owners give timely responses and privacy. The cottage is in a gated community and is a vacation destination with large community pool, parks, river in back of cottage, and lots of deer. The property is as stated in posting and much more. Its amazing to see the deer across the river and front yard around dusk. The largest herd was 2 fawn, 10 deer, 1 buck. We saw beaver in river and collected rocks minerals in creek. Lots of parking in U shaped driveway. Wifi works great with many devices and video calls for work. Very close to Ellijay parks, downtown, and all other stores and restaurants. Seclusion and close enough to civilization. We will return again for future trips.
My husband and I started spending time in Ellijay back in 2003 and fell in love with the area and the people. We love everything outdoors including hiking, mountain biking and trail running with the dogs.
Why they chose this property
We bought the house in 2015 because we thought it was a really great house and wanted others to be able to enjoy the area. The house is centrally located for all your adventures.
What makes this property unique
The house is very light and airy inside and simply feels comfortable.
