The Beach Place Duplex -- for people who love the ocean and beaches. Rent the main floor of this beautiful home in sunny Poipu Beach. It is across the street, just 100 feet, to Brennecke's Beach, a popular body surfing beach. Poipu Beach Park, a great family-friendly beach, is next to Brennecke's Beach and has a life guard. There is a protected part of the beach that's great for snorkeling and beginning swimmers.

Watch the dolphins and sea turtles from your own garden terrace or take a three-minute walk to the ocean to some of the best swimming and snorkeling on Kauai. During the winter months, you may see humpback whales playing off shore. That's an awesome sight!

There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby and several are close enough to walk to. If you feel like dining at home, you may want to check out Kauai's Sunshine Markets for fresh produce to go with your favorite entree. Maybe you'd like to grill some fresh island fish on the barbecue . . . lots to choose from.

Activities nearby: Seasonal swimming, snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, horseback riding, botanical garden tours, sightseeing, shopping and tennis. Two championship golf courses, Kiahuna Golf Club and Poipu Bay Resort Course, both designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., are within a mile.

Incredible beach destination

The location is amazing directly across from the beach. Boogey boarding, snorkling, great places to eat are all an easy walk from the beach place. Montgomery is such a special person and a gracious host. We hope to be back on our next anniversary.

Great location, you won’t be disappointed!

Walk across the street to the beach. Rinse off in an outdoor shower. This place was very convenient, more private than a resort. Stocked with all the beach gear you may need. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Took great walks along the beach and coast, saw green turtles each evening and some monk seals as well. Sunrises and sunsets across the street. Sleep with the sound of the ocean. Enjoy your stay!

Amazing location and very comfortable house

This is our 2nd stay at the beach house. The location can’t be beat. Literally steps to the beach. Walk across the street to the beach with your morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. All the comforts of home. Love hearing the surf crashing. Outdoor shower is fabulous. It isn’t fancy but it is very comfortable with everything you need for a great vacation

This is a very sweet spot for sure. No other words can describe! The owner Mr. Montgomery welcomed us and has been very responsive. He gave us ripe bananas. Such a hospitable, neighborly spirit. Not to mention, the beach is literally steps away from the doorstep. Will definitely be back! That should tell readers something and we love thr owner.

Excellent location for quick beach access and a lovely garden to enjoy meals on the patio. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner which is always enjoyable and very useful in getting local information, not too mention being very generous in sharing limes from the local tree. Hard to beat if you are in the Poipu area and want an alternative to the hotel and generic condo experience. Indoor shower needs a little attention as water sprayed over into main bathroom area but we used the outdoor tropical shower to maximum effect which was wonderful.

Prime location in sunny Poipu, directly across the road from the ocean and Brennekke Beach, with lifeguarded,kid-and-adult-friendly Poipu Beach just a few more steps away. We loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves, hanging out on the lanai, and the freedom to go back and forth between the ocean and refreshing outdoor shower. This year we had the 2 bedrooms to ourselves, but it’s also a great place to invite family and friends to join us. We booked our stay for next year before going home. Mahalo BPD!

Our 3 year old could walk with us to the beaches across the street, play on the playground, see the sea turtles, swim in the kid-friendly Poipu bay beach, walk down the resort pathway all the way to the Hyatt... And we were close driving distance to plenty of food, shopping and other activities.The home had all of the amenities we needed including cooking utensils, dishwasher, 2 bedrooms, clean bathrooms, laundry in unit, tons of towels, board games, beach chairs, and an outdoor shower that we enjoyed using each day.The weather is perfect, even without AC we quickly got used to the warm nights and used the ceiling fans to keep the temperature comfortable while we slept. 10/10 will come back to stay here again.

Kauai Vacation Rentals was responsive and friendly at every turn. They even brought a new umbrella that day when we wrote to let them know of things we saw that were damaged upon checkin (just the umbrella, everything else was good).Only suggestion on the property might be a new mattress in the main bedroom and some new pans. Otherwise this place was a great beach rental and we will plan to be back in late 2024.

We’ve been coming here for over 30 years and as always enjoyed watching the beauty and listening to the sound of the waves from the lanai and/or the 2 bedrooms, playing in the surf and rinsing off in the outdoor shower, cooking in the kitchen or on the BBQ grill, and lots more. I can't say enough good things about it - The home was spotless when we arrived and the location could not be beat. The beach is steps away! We had a great time walking to the beach and restraurants, plus the kitchen had everything we needed when we decided to cook a couple of meals.Kauai Vacation Rentals was excellent to work with. We had an internet issue one day, and they helped me find the modem/router and waited on the line as I rebooted it, just to make sure we were good to go. The owners live upstairs, and were away on a trip most of the time we were there, but we did get to meet one of them and he was awesome. Full of great recommendations for things to do in the area.All in all, I honestly would not change anything abou this rental and we are crossing our fingers to be able to visit Kauai and rent this property again. Mahalo!!!
