The location is well set to enjoy all that Bowness has to offer. Unfortunately, the property could be cleaned before our arrival - dust and dirt on floors looked months old.
Basic amenities such as toilet paper couldhave also been provided.
Single beds mattress springs almost poking through the cover .. have to lay blankets ontop of mattress to be able to sleep on it.
With a bit of care and consideraton, it could be a really amazing experience... the location is prime!

A short break in the Lakes
The property itself was a charming little cottage nestled in the middle of Bowness. In need of some TLC and a lick of paint but it was ideal as a base to come back to after a day of walking in the Lakes. Initially we couldn't get the boiler to work and the smoke alarm continually emitted an annoying beep but a quick call to the managing agents sorted this out very quickly. A shout out to Kate at Lakes Cottage Holidays in Windermere - she was excellent in resolving our issues and even came round in person with a handyman to get everything resolved.

Pet Friendly but only had a courtyard with false grass, which was asked not to let you dog go to toilet on it as shared passage way.I would not want my family of six adults to staying here it would be very cramped, would need to use mainly for sleeping. Sofa bed extremely uncomfortable to sit on, also only four chairs in kitchen. The small toilet downstairs also has a wet room floor if you do not remove the toilet roll when using the shower it will get soaked The best thing is location the Cottage is nice we enjoyed it but there was only two of us, would recommend even say it was lovely
